Real Customer Reviews at Poiká Breakfast & Coffee:
Nemanja Babic-Stefanovic11:49 07/13/23Quite a nice and cozy place. We were a bit late to get a breakfast, but they also serve Pide, that is freshly baked and very tasty. We loved the Ice coffees. farahnaz ebrahim09:36 06/15/23Excellent food and service! Prices are good.Waiter Burhan was so helpful and nice. Highly recommended. Ignacio Rojas Aguilar05:07 05/23/23I liked this place for breakfast. The bathrooms are super clean and the food was great.Regarding prices I think they have good prices. The only thing that bothered me was that I needed to wait too much time to receive my tea. But I understand that is not the waitress fault. Charity Hernandez18:13 03/21/23We stopped here for breakfast before our boat tour. Needless to say, it was well worth the stop! It was easy to find, as it was only a short walk from the train station. We were seated right away and loved the cute, preppy feel inside of the café. The food was just scrumptious and hit all the right spots for the traditional Turkish breakfast I was craving. The breakfast plate was well worth it and included olives, cheese, an egg, and some sweet toppings to go with the fresh bread they provided for the table. If you’re looking for a quaint breakfast place to start your day off right in Istanbul, give Poiká a try! You will not be disappointed. Sebastián Velázquez19:16 03/20/23We had breakfast here for 2 consecutive days because it was super close to our hotel and the photos looked good. The food was okay, the staff very friendly and the kitchen looked clean to me. However, none of the dishes I had (granola bowl first day and scrambled eggs the following) were spectacular for me to give them 5 stars. I’m not saying they were bad, not at all. But simply that it was average kitchen.I strongly recommend the mango smoothie. I had it with almond milk instead of whole by the way.

Nur Y.19:39 06/26/23Excellent option close to Hagia Sophia / Topkapi Palace. Great food and friendly service. They are a no-alcohol establishment and located a few steps away from a historical small mosque. Great option for Muslim tourists in the area. Hamzah13:52 04/08/23Nice durum, good flavour and tasted fresh. The service was friendly and kind but we had to wait one hour for the food. 230 lira for 2 durum and a water. The manager apologised for the wait and gave us complimentary tea which we appreciated Razielle Araos22:28 03/02/23Highly recommended! The dinner was awesome! I love all the food that we ordered! From appetizers, main dish and desserts! Please try the KATMER dessert! Oh my God you will forget all your problems! The softness and flakiness of the dessert that melts in your mouth is something else! Thank you to all the generous and kind staff of Rumist Cafe! We love the turkish teas! Will come back soon for more! Thank you Stephen K03:39 02/19/23The food was just superbly good. Actually I never expected any special flavor or taste because I just dropped by knowing totally nothing about the restaurant. The chef is young but seems to have an exquisite cooking skills. Regret I didn’t take a picture of the food I ate but picture doesn’t say much about the real flavor. Small steamed rice ball was so great. Better than Japanese sushi rice. I bet it will make you lick your lips. Jeannette Price20:25 11/22/22This restaurant has delicious food at great prices. Appetizers were good portions. The lentil soup was wonderful and served hot. The lamb chops are good with plenty of sides. The ice cream is so yummy...it has a different texture you need to try! The service is great! I will be back again!

Zvonimir Oštrić18:46 07/27/23A very nice place just close to the mosques with affordable prices, nice tea and shisha. Food is also good. The service is excellent, atmosphere is also great, especially in the evening when they have a live dervis dance performance and music. They have plenty of tables free out in the yard and also a WiFi connection. All in all a nice place to relax in the evening. Kaiyan Yousaf17:58 07/26/23Ambiance and location are great. Food was good. Had the shish taok. Really wish they gave something with the bread. It was too dry. Ahmed Al-Akki18:35 07/17/23We sat at this cafe and had tea and cheesecake. They had a live band and a dancing dervish. This cafe is at a very beautiful location and is best if you come here at night. You could spend few hours listening to wonderful music and relax after a long day. The food here is a little bit expensive. T11:07 07/16/23Had a late lunch here. Wanted chicken donner but sadly it was not ready. Only the chicken shish plate was ready. Lots of seats and near the Sofia Hagia. Service was good and friendly. They even try to sell you various boat tours which I didn't mind they didn't pressure me. Food came and the chicken tasted OK but it lacked seasoning. The red sauce helped. Actually the red sauce was very tasty. The chicken was tender, but the pilaf was delicious, never had plain rice that tasted so good. Looks like they might have shows in the evening as there was a stage. The Tourist Doctor20:48 07/05/23Loved the locationYou literally dine in shadow of blue mosqueLoved the whirling dervaish performanceLoved the sheeshaLoved foodTakeaway is 24 hours a dat, 7 days a weekWill highly recommend it

Henna Saleem06:55 07/02/23With so much walking around the area, this is a good and perfectly located place to stop and get a glass of fresh juice. We had the pomegranate juice and it just hit the spot Mohsin Bhatti21:27 06/05/23It's within close process to Ayasofya so handy if you want some snacks. Staff isn't the most helpful but I guess they serve many people through the day so can't be bothered! On the whole, it's OK for what it is and serves a purpose.. Suhail Sufi12:15 05/26/23Probably one the most awful meals I've had in Istanbul, and highly pricedOnly advantage was it was close to Haghia Sophia and we stumbled upon it as it look ok from the outside....but avoid, the food was very bad, mostly likely frozen reheatedRegret visiting Mehdi Teim ellah05:24 09/30/22Ohhh after a half day visiting the blue mosque, and before visiting hagia sofia, no need to search for a restaurant faraway, the food was very delicious the personal was so friendly, and the prices were not expensive for a fast food located in a touristic place. mojtaba bannaga19:23 07/06/22good place to rest and eat after a tour at the Hagia Sofia, the food is delicious with a wonderful view of the Hagia Sofia Meydan and Sultan Ahmed Park

David Breisch18:40 05/06/23Food was fine. It is a little expensive per the other reviews, but it was a delightful location in the evening to sit outside and snack. The waiter/owner was friendly and we discovered that his son lives in Chicago like us. Etheve Chloé19:32 04/16/23Best houmous and baklava ever ! Everyone is so lovely August BarbieDoll16:53 03/03/23The food was delicious here thank you. Went out for stroll, decided to stop & eat here. Food was fresh & seasoned well. Amine Boushaq18:17 11/13/22It is so expensive and I think in this place you only pay for the location that’s all. Drink only tea here and don’t try something traditional because you will be surprised with the price compared to the other places in Turkey. Shyam Sundar12:26 08/04/18Nice and cozy outdoor dinning. food was great and fresh. excellent service with fast response.

Bianca R10:19 07/26/23Restaurant with a Beautiful view, central location, delicious breakfast and outstanding service. Ismail greeted us and accommodated us even though we did not make reservations. He was friendly and very pleasant. Akin our table server, was attentive and took care in placing our food and making sure we got what we needed at all time. Overall excellent experience and food. Aiman Khurram19:23 07/11/23Beautiful place, but below average food. I would not return for food, but if I do it would be to have a tea or some thing small. The view truly was lovely unfortunately the restaurant service and food does not add up especially for the price they charge. Wanda Lizakowska07:22 06/27/23Absolutely stunning place! Very nice location close to the main attractions of the Sultanahmet, yet a little bit on a side, so it is calm and tranquil. The staff is very friendly and food is amazing. But the best thing are the views from the rooftop terrace - unobscured panorama of Istanbul, perfect for sunset dinner especially if the sky is cloudy. Definatelly super recommended! leen s03:34 06/02/23To be honest the only positive thing about this place is the view. The food was a 7/10, but that could of been higher if our experience wasn’t tainted by the service and attitude given. We were a bigger group, but this place isn’t spacious, and we weren’t accommodated for it properly. I wouldn’t recommend it for more than 4 people max. The tea was lowkey a rip off as well because you pay per cup, where other places will keep refilling for you from a pot generously and constantly ask if you want more. The amount of bread we were given was not enough whatsoever for the amount of plates there were on the table, that we kept on having to ask for more, and felt like we had to beg for it. This kind of food NEEDS bread, you can’t just dip your fingers in tahini and honey alone. Last comment; no other places we’ve been to have charged us a service charge, except this place. Felt like it was made up on the spot since it was a written receipt. The cost of the breakfast was not worth it due to the below average service, and lack of interest in taking care of certain guests. A. Shikany11:07 04/01/23Tried this place a few days ago and the Turkish breakfast is amazing! It also has a very nice view of the water and city. The staff were very friendly and nice! One of the best spots for Turkish breakfast, definitely check it out if you can💗

Ramla Jamali07:23 08/02/23This place has atmosphere. Food is really good. Service is excellent!!! We enjoyed a peaceful dinner nestled in this treetop like setting in the middle of the hustle bustle of sultanahmet. Only con was smoke from cigarettes and hookah which unfortunately is common everywhere. Yasmin Wahdan15:38 07/16/23The service was absolutely amazing! It was our first time in Turkey and by far the best restaurant! I would definitely recommend! Everything we ordered was delicious, worth the try!We also order this one dish that was really delicious and also made in a really cool way!!! My favorite part! Food, drinks and hookah were excellent, brilliant, amazing... But our heart was stolen by the bartenders and all of the service. These guys work with all of their heart.. We will definetly come back. Thank you all for amazing experience in Green Corner! You made our vacation more better!Greetings from Croatia! ♡ Anna Vye22:45 06/05/23A happy find! Came across this place on the way back to our hotel after sightseeing all day. Had the grilled salmon which was one of the best fish dishes I've had, it was cooked to perfection. Very begrudgingly shared a tiny bit with a stray cat, as it was so good I wanted it all to my self!Atmosphere was amazing, with some excellent live music. The staff were great and one of the waiters was very down to earth and helpful. He even brought us some complimentary tea when we struggled to book a taxi in the pouring rain. The tea was great and we really enjoyed our stay there. And we were very happy to find some really decent fish selection, lots of stuff on the menu to choose from and the wait for the food isn't long.Great location, great food and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
