Garrett Hara21:26 08/05/23Loved trying all the different dishes the sampler had to offer. It was easy to share and really fun trying so many different flavors. Would definitely recommend. The salmon was a separate order and was good but a bit overcooked for my taste. I think thats just the style. Norman C03:38 06/07/23Food was interesting, get a good selection of 18 different small plates. Taste for most of them was quite good, some were a bit extreme in sourness (plum).Came here without a reservation, waited in line for about 30 mins at 8am. Keiko A15:24 06/01/23Foods are ok. I asked them very small rice portion though asi cannot eat a lot for breakfast. they brought normal size. It's disappointing that staff sometimes have private chatting and laughing very loud. I would like to try some lunch or sweets next time. J Y K07:46 04/22/23One of the most famous Brunch spots in Tokyo. A must-visit when in Tsukiji area.Opening times now starts at 8am (previously 11am) and reservations are recommended.Lines start to form around 730am and guests with reservations enter first. Fortunately, we were first in line (which never ever happened in Japan) in the 'No reservations' line and we were seated by 8:15am. 18-dish Menu is a must try. Dessert menu looked amazing but we were too full to try. Will definitely be back! B BB21:30 03/07/233.5 stars. It's not bad for a light and healthy meal. It's a bit crowded though so you should probably get there early on a weekend. This was the Buddha bowl. Not bad. Simple, over 30 healthy ingredients, seems wholesome enough. The amount of food may not be enough for some people. The soup needed more taste. The meat sauce part was a bit salty but I guess balanced out the vegetables? They could make everything light in taste and have condiments on the side.I recommend that they wipe the wooden trays better, especially the corners. I saw the employees disinfecting them but not really cleaning them well. My tray had crumbs left in the corner. The service was professional. Not friendly but professional. There's a lot of seating for people coming alone. They're is also an outlet if you need to recharge your batteries during your meal. This cafe is across from Tsukiji market. The adjacent temple is amazing and the architecture is one-of-a-kind. For a Buddhist temple, it's quite commercialized! The temple people are very friendly to foreign visitors and encourage people to check out the building, interior and exterior.

施维琳15:14 07/09/23got the tuna onigiri, tuna tastes good but there was way too much rice and way too little tuna. rice wasn't very well seasoned either so it tasted quite bland due to the ratio. Yuk22:00 06/18/23Cute shop that sells a variety of onigiri and some rolls. The egg and fried egg inside the onigiri was flavorful. The other items were tasty too. Affordable and delicious. busy bee01:28 06/05/23I bought Tekkamaki (tuna roll) at Marutomi Shouten. At the back of the store, freshly made Tekkamaki rolls were piled up on a tray, left at room temperature in the summer heat, and flies were gathering around them. The staff didn't seem to care, and I have doubts about the hygiene. The Tekkamaki rolls were also not made with high-quality tuna. I will never buy them again.🪰 Amel Desain08:26 05/02/23Good taste onigiri with affordable price. And come with huge rice inside, can make you full. Shan Leong06:30 11/12/22Nice Onigiri 🍙, with a wide variety of choices. Taste was good 👍, worth to give it a try.

Real Customer Reviews at TSUKIJIRO:
Edmund Lim01:24 07/16/23Pretty much what a few reviewers before me said.Reviews are fantastic, queues are decently short. But what you get is an overpriced bowl ranging from 1800 Yen upwards and the average is 3000-4000 Yen, for only under 8 pieces of sashimi/items and there wasn't even a lot of rice either.Did it taste good? Sure. But I too, do think there are better options. Phil L17:02 07/10/23We came due to the high reviews.Agree with most posts that this place is a bit less obvious so less tourist and no crazy lines.Seafood was fresh given we showed up at 8am.I do feel like the portion size was really small for the price we paid. Each bowl ranged from 2500-5900 yen and I was really expecting a bit more than 6 pieces of fish each bowl.I guess this is what price points are like in Tsukiji given the foot traffic, but I do think there are better options out there. Wong Teck Jung01:28 06/04/23Perhaps due to its location away from the main street, this shop tends to have fewer crowds. However, the Hokkaido sea urchins and salmon roe on rice was delicious with good umami flavor. The service provided was also prompt and attentive. Christine W.12:39 04/18/23Delicious! No wait time and food was served quickly and is fresh. The owners were very friendly and price is reasonable. I'd come back for sure Jayson Kina00:23 12/30/22Even though it's very busy, the staff are very efficient in turning over tables for the next customers as well as allowing others to order in line while waiting. The quality of the food is top notch! Very fresh! I'd come here again! Fast, friendly service!

Fatima Masud01:32 08/08/23Lovely little coffee shop in the heart of the Tsukiji fish market. We loved sitting outside and people watching and taking in the quite buzz of the fish market. Highly recommend the coffee jelly. Toan Phan03:56 08/02/23I rarely ever write reviews but this place is phenomenal in every way. Coffee is amazing and they give you a bit more than most places in Japan. Food is also phenomenal and the atmosphere is perfect. Good number of seats and AC is on point. Perfect oasis; wife and I went here every morning. Wannie Liu00:59 06/12/23Cosy pit stop amidst a rainy market walk today.Had the blue mountain americano, caramel macchiato, matcha macchiato and hot chocolate. Americano is smooth and smells fantastic. Matcha is strong but doesn’t come across as overpowering. Faye Cheang10:59 02/19/23Cozy cafe with varieties of coffee bean. My husband bought blue mountain coffee bean here as well. More seatings inside the shop. Self service and please return the cups and glasses. JEFF ADEODATUS II BAUTISTA15:29 01/17/23Great spot to take a coffee break after roaming around the market. The staff was very friendly. Coffee was good. Had a drip coffee, and my wife has a recommendation from the staff, which was really good. It was the best seller as per the staff.

Joyce14:32 06/07/23Small coffee shop with good drinks, nice to see some Beatles stuff around. Xiaguangrui Yu06:20 05/06/23Really bad taste. Overburned coffee for both latte and pour over. I do not understand the rating here. Even starbucks is better than this. Manasanan Sir23:02 03/06/23Little cozy coffee shop with friendly owner. Cappuccino and Caramel milk tea were very good. Must try after having meal at Tsukiji market. James Culhane22:22 03/03/23Great coffee and very nice owners. I literally saw them chase down a costumer to return a bag she left. The have a huge variety of coffee/tea/espresso based beverages. It’s definitely cramped inside but that’s Tokyo. English menus and great service. Daniel04:36 01/12/23Homely and cosy place to have great coffee, snacks or a meal to chat. This is the main shop of three that the owners work at - a friendly couple who like to chat and are relatively able to converse in English. For coffee lovers, they sell a variety of coffee beans as well as their own house brew - "city brew", a light and aromatic brew, as drip coffee and beans.

Phil L16:59 07/10/23For all travellers that is super jetlegged - Tsukiji is great since everything starts to open 7am.And if you would like something a bit different than the rest of the shops that sells seafood - try Peppers Cafe. The owners are condiment sellers turned cafe owners. They still do sell condiments but the cafe business is additive due to the fact that people can now try and buy.The standout is 100% their fresh pepper that is marinated in salt. They use it in the pizza and some of the drinks they serve. We had a great pizza and 3 amazing drinks.Highly recommend. Renee P15:37 06/18/23Tsukiji Peppers Cafe is a hidden gem in a bustling market. We wanted to visit after seeing them on Paolo’s YouTube video. The owner made us feel right at home with a warm and comforting atmosphere. We loved how personal the experience felt and enjoyed talking to Tetsu. It was nice that we were able to practice our Japanese although they do speak English as well. We recommend also grabbing some peppers to take home after getting to sample the fresh kosho. Carla Navarro11:40 04/11/23Wondering around Tsukiji market we followed signs for Pepper’s Cafe and got the chance to enjoy some good food and laughs. The owners welcomed us in and we had the chance to experience the amazing food they have to offer. Don’t miss a chance to stop by here, you won’t regret any minute of it.The owner’s expertise is using peppers to compliment any food item you choose from his menu. Michael and I decided we wanted to order some pizza’s. Any combination you choose to create your pizza ends up coming out delicious. There’s so much more I want to say, but you have to come by and experience this wonderful local spot for yourself. Put it on the itinerary! Haley Murphy21:09 03/26/23We saw Peppers cafe on a Paolo from Tokyo video about Tsukiji Market. Being American, there is pizza everywhere, so one might not think of getting it Japan. The pizza was handmade, able to be customized and was delicious! We also ordered the peppers cola drink and it was insanely good and a new experience for us. The owner lived in the US for a bit, so we were able to chat for a while. The atmosphere, the owners and the food they severe is awesome!! We even bought pepper to take home, I can’t wait to try it in so many things. Thank you for the great food, conversation and your passion shows in the food you create! shelly g00:55 02/08/23This place is a hidden gem and could be easily missed if you get lost in the crowds of Tsukiji. I'm glad I remembered to go back and try to find it when it wasn't so crowded - just look for the signs, and you'll find your way easily. Unfortunately did not have enough room for food, but I was most interested in their handmade cola. It was so good, with all the right spices! I liked it so much, I bought their syrup to make it at home. The owners were super friendly and easy to connect with. I enjoyed the chat we had while warming up from the cold. Definitely would like to visit again, this time for the food.

Zohaib Abbasi05:28 07/24/23Great Katsu chicken with curry. Big jug of beet 🍺. Legit local diner vibes 水谷大輔01:02 06/04/23It's a nice neighborhood restaurant.I was curious about it, but I couldn't ask, so I finally came to the store. This is probably not the type of shop where Tsukiji tourists come to, but it may be a shop used by people who work at Tsukiji. This time I visited for breakfast, and I got the impression that there were many people in suits and work clothes.I had a tuna set meal, but the tuna itself, the mio and the rice were very delicious. As with Tsukiji no Mitaya, there are many delicious izakayas in Tsukiji, which is helpful. There are so many menus, so I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.Thank you very much for your meal!! Hitoshi Hokamura20:57 05/09/21One of the few restaurants in this area where a good-old-days atmosphere is still kept as well as the traditional menu that might not have changed for decades. You have typical menu of Japanized western menu such as Omu-rice (fried rice in omulet), Pork cutlet curry and variety of fries (of scallops and oysters) but also a lot of Sashimi dish because of the location.Since the fish market has moved, you will not see wholesale market people in the morning, it still is loved by many locals. Gamal Sadek11:14 09/16/18Lovely atmosphere, so soft beef , I like their pickles , price not so expensive though , they use fresh beef unlike other BBQ restaurant Shinnosuke Kadokura14:11 02/15/18Main customer is local fish market workers. Sometimes busy and smoky. However they provide yummy fish foods and reasonable price. It’s difficult to visit for foreigners, but I’d like you to visit this restaurant with your Japanese friends.
