Real Customer Reviews at Aboy's Restaurant:

SwitPea - Pinay in Switzerland- 00:58 04/06/23
Expensive but delicious food. The best "laing" I have tasted ever. I have given 4-star for the food as I wasn't contented with the "breaded shrimp" given the expensive price. Grilled Mushroom in banana leaf is the best, don't forget to order that.

Shawi Cortez- 06:17 10/19/22
Walking distance from Sugarland hotel where we stayed.Good food. We had grilled blue marlin, chicharon bulaklak, KBL (kadyos, baboy, langka), and the recommended squid fat. Bucket promo for the month: 5+1 beer. Plus fresh passionfruit juice from their farm.To cap it off, we had ice cream in local flavors -- mangga, black buco at munggo, salted egg cheesecake. You can also request for complimentary tarragon tea.

Jake Jeong- 10:13 10/01/22
Grilled fish and shrimp were delicious. MASIDDA. The boss was accomodating, so there were many kind employees. I want to go again. If you are alone, it's okay.

Amihan Antipolo- 05:54 06/03/22
Such a lovely restaurant especially for those who care about natural ingredients on their food. Their herbal garden gives a reassuring vibe that greens and salads are fresh. They have to perfect though their cooking of seafood especially blue marlin to keep its good quality when served (it stayed a bit longer on the flame). Inasal and binakol are good. Buttered scalops are great. The servers are polite and nice. The ambiance is okay, not the best in the City but worth trying if you want to enjoy cozy meal time. Will definitely be back to try other meals.

Leza Andrea- 15:50 03/25/21
Definitely your go-to Filipino cuisine restaurant. They serve a variety of ready to eat Filipino food. You can also order grilled meat and fish to be cooked after you choose your raw order. Very friendly staff. Wide place and parking place. Cozy ambiance. Good for groups. Price is kinda expensive but the food is definitely delicious 👍 They also serve Tarragon tea (for free) which helps in the proper digestion of your food. Perfect place for meet the parents date 😉

Real Customer Reviews at Diotay's Eatery:

KC- 04:00 01/21/23
One of the rare places that hit the trifactor of good price, great service and tasty food. The meat was a little bit overcooked but acceptable nonetheless considering the price. One unfortunate thing is they don't have any other menu except seafood and some meat choices. I'll like to have some accompanying vegetables. They don't have a menu, just go and pick a few items and they will cook it the way you want.

Jho Celero- 08:34 11/09/22
The seafood is fresh and reasonably priced. I like that there's a waiter ready to assist me but it could be because I came on a downtime hour. It's best to request that seafood be cooked simply, without sugar.

Oasis Sauna- 05:56 10/27/22
Im from Manila, and frequent Dampa. I eat in a lot of great places. If you had time to eat in only 1 place in Bacolod, I would say it should be here. Deliciously cooked fresh seafood, safe ambiance (Im a girl and I ate alone), respectful and excellent waitstaff.

Leah Pinky- 13:51 09/17/22
Staff were so friendly and seafoods are fresh! Cooked with love and passion. Paid 2k+ for 3 dishes plus drinks, worth the penny👍👍👏👏. More power to your business guys

Charlimagne Montealegre- 07:59 06/14/22
The sea food is surprisingly good! We couldn't really know the price upfront but for the amount and quality of seafood it's good value for money.

Real Customer Reviews at Bacolod 18th St.Palapala Seafood Grill & Restaurant:

Cecilia Jorian- 05:04 04/23/23
Consistently delicious. Been going to Pala Pala when it was just a little wet market type place back in '03? '06?where it was the after hours spot where you get the freshest seafood cooked fresh. 18th street was a happy addition/revision. Same fresh seafood but now with an air-conditioned space. Fave in bacolod. I've never had anything bad here. Service, food, all perfect.

Atty. Jorge C. Biñas- 03:37 04/05/23
We like seafood and one of the best seafood restaurants in Bacolod. The food is excellent and you can choose fresh seafoods for your meal. The service is fast and very accomodating personnels. A must try in Bacolod City. We will surely come back. Thanks.

Gladyleida Alim Tibayan- 03:25 03/09/23
Food and ambiance are great. Staffs are handson. When ordering, ask the staffs to explain to you their menu, their minimum order is 1/4 of the seafoods and you will choose if what kind of cooking would you like.We ordered:Calamares (Squid) – 1/4kg for Php240Sweet & Sour Shrimp – 1/4kg for Php330Garlic Buttered Scallops – 1/2kg for Php250Rice is Php38 per scoopSoftdrinks are Php55

my picky eater kids love to eat here

Venus Togoto- 09:58 12/18/22
The food is fresh. Staff are friendly. Although the food took long to serve cause they have to cook it very well. Sinigang lison was our favorite.

Anton Gabila- 03:14 10/02/22
We visited the place on a Friday at 8:00. There was only one table occupied. But i believe that's because at this time, the Masskara Festival just opened so the people were there. At around 9:00 before we left, the place started to fill. We were looking for seafood so we trued this. For the 4 dishes, unlimited juice, and rice we paid Php 1500. I'd say this is mid range in terms of budget. Shrimp was a bit on the bland side while the scallops and chopsuey is on the salty side. The crabs were perfect. But I think that's up to personal preference. Service was fast, they also let you select your crabs and fish. Great place! The server was also kind enough to recommend dishes.

Real Customer Reviews at Maria Kucina Familia:

nacho froyo- 04:45 03/05/23
Tried the place for dinnertime, and the only thing that bothered me slightly was the way the servers looked at us like they were rushing to clean the place. It was around 10pm and we understood that they were getting last orders but when we went out of the room there were lots of people still enjoying their meals.Food is good, and ambiance is nice as always. Quaint and worth the wait.

Coinery Hobbyist- 13:47 12/30/22
We dined and we got serve. Food was great except for the soup appetizer which was like a soup I tasted from a hospital which is so bland. Service was good, crew was coming back and fort, kind of annoyed me a bit but it could be improved. Costs is expensive but still reasonable. They don't have private function rooms so you have to share the whole room with other guests. We ordered a lot of food coz we're so many as in like like 20 people☺️☺️☺️We ordered crispy pata, spare ribs, kare2, glazed chicken, some bunch of nachos, sizzling bangus and more. I also like the birthday cake. I took some picture of the food they serve just check it out.

Alain Deriaz- 19:43 12/18/22
María Kucina is still a very special restaurant in terms of settings, decoration, garden and diversity. But in terms of cuisine it has lowered its meals presentation and, more importantly, the taste of the food, not so delicious as before. It's a great pity. Pizzas can't be considered as delicious and crispy, pasta choice is really narrowing, forget about asking for a spaghetti, it doesn't exist. This restaurant is still a hot spot in Bacolod but its reputation might suffer if the management doesn't care about coming back to its standards. The waiters are really good if trained properly, on this there is still room for being better. Hope management would take my remarks into consideration.

Wesley G- 14:47 12/11/22
Staff was not the best on that day, had to remind them 3 times for a glass of ice for my coke and not enough smiles! Food is always great when we go there! Owner or manager is very nice and friendly!

Amihan Antipolo- 13:23 07/07/22
How can you not love this restaurant? Food is so nice. Ambiance is wonderful amd homey. The seating space is thight and therefore not convenient when waiters have to reach over the table in front of you, but anyway, that could be improved. The food is well seasoned, right flavour, and as decently expected for the kind/type of dish. The sweets are all good. Churos for the win.

I've celebrated here my 25th birthday with my mom and sister and i enjoyed my time here. The food and service is good too. Kudos to the crews who are working here.

rochie alisan- 05:13 11/07/22
Food availability and choices are good as always. Happy that I chose to celebrate my special day here. 🤩We also appreciate the service given by the waiters, particularly the one assigned to us -- Ejie.

B account- 10:53 11/06/22
Vast Selection of food. The service is incredible. They also had my favourite ice cream flavour. The roast beef and leg of lamb was a bit chewy but it was savoury and juicy so I'll let it pass. 10/10 would drink vikings iced tea again. #Johnrey

Lemuel Goltiao- 06:15 11/03/22
Impressed by the improved selection of food after the pandemic restrictions period. The increase in prices is understandable. Crew member Ejie handled our requests very well. Good job!

MONTOYO- 01:39 10/23/22
October 22 2022 I walked in and to see how Vikings Bacolod is different from other buffet experience I had with their other branches. To start they have less than 10 food stations I think and the cusines presented are just a few. Valenciana taste very very aweful and in fact Bacolod is known for this dish. The master chef doesn't look like local so maybe that's why lol. What I like is their lamb steaks, their carrot noodle soup and a few of grilled seafoods and the rest is just fine nothing extraordinary really. Since I didn't have the "umami" experience so I'm giving them 2/5.

ellie a.- 05:39 12/07/21
Came in at the first hour, everything was laid out nice and fresh. Great selection of dessert. My favorite, as always was the Japanese food section.Nice big cuts of salmon sashimi, lots of Maki selection choices, plenty of shrimp tempura 🍤I like how the service changed due to pandemic. Ensures health safety and prevents food wastage.Wearing of mask when you get up from your table is strictly enforced.Staff are courteous as always.

Jake Jeong- 13:17 10/11/22
The food was good, and wide space was comfortable. Accomodating employees. There were many Filipinos families. Maybe this restaurant is famous to Filipinos.

Michael Malihan- 12:59 09/15/22
Liked their mixed vegetables, as a baguio boy it reminded me of how we have our chopsuey, half cooked and tasty, but for their dish it was mostly chayote. Back ribs was also good, i think worth it's price, the lechon kawali, as it suited my taste, was a bit over priced for its portion.. All in all it was satisfying..

ellie a.- 04:50 12/03/21
You can order ahead. Great selection of food. Sizzling manumbok is a family favorite. You can never go wrong with chicken binakol.Very attentive personnel, great service.Place is kept clean. They have function rooms for private affairs. Fee is consumable. They also do pick-ups.

LeWayne Ballard- 13:10 02/12/20
Nice restaurant serving traditional Filipino dishes. Service was prompt and friendly. Sat on outside covered patio that had about 15 tables. Food was fresh and came out in reasonable time. Favorite dish was surprisingly the fried eggplant, followed by the grilled squid. Everything else was good, but the eggplant stood out as the best.

Brent Go- 14:02 04/06/23
The food and interior is beautiful. I would suggest going for the pizza and not so much on other main entrees. Most of the dishes other than their pizzas are dry for my taste.

Dominik Cipa- 12:38 03/27/23
Very good food. Very authentic. At least the Oysters, the Carpaccio, the Filet and Cordon Bleu. Service very nice and attentive. One star less in environment because a little stains on the table.

Kierthas- 05:34 01/30/23
One of the best Italian restaurants in Bacolod city. all the pastas were excellent and I really liked the steak

Lee Orme- 13:14 01/24/23
The pizza was undercooked and the pasta was soaked in oil. When we complained, the pizza returned partially burnt. The quality of the food we received definitely does not reflect the price they charge. Very disappointing.

Alexander Go Tian- 14:03 10/23/22
Came here with somewhat high expectations but food and service was disappointing given price.Ordered margherita pizza, truffle pasta, vongole pasta, salmon salad, and herbed butter steak.Vongole was the star of the meal. Would recommend this. Otherwise beef was tough and poorly presented while pizza was hard as cardboard. Salad and truffle were okay. But what ruined the experience was the service. Tables were really dirty and waiters put no effort to clean them. Stains looked like they've been there for a while.

Real Customer Reviews at Sharyn's Cansi House:

Josh Natividad- 17:16 01/07/23
You can never go wrong with Cansi. The depth of meaty taste it has means that the broth was slowly cooked for hours. Meat was tender and serving size is ok.one order of cansi is P450, good for 2 people

Jan Garrovillo- 09:26 10/18/22
Order cansi.Order fried cansi.Order rice.Put cansi broth on rice.Top it with the fried cansi.Eat.Very satisfying meal. One order of Cansi and 1 order of fried cansi can be shared by 4 people or 3 (if you’re really starving)

Darenn Rodriguez- 07:00 05/02/22
Best cansi ever! I've always wondered what authentic cansi tastes like since I only get the chance when we visit Ilonggo restaurants in Manila. But now here in Bacolod, I finally got to taste the real thing and it tastes 10x better than the ones in Manila. Definitely a must try when you're here in Bacolod

Clara- 10:47 03/30/22
I recommend potential visitors to order their Cansi and Fried Cansi. I am not a local and I did not expect Cansi to be better than Batangas Bulalo. The soup is rich in umami and the servings are quite generous, albeit a bit on the expensive side. Got a really large bone poking up our large bowl and enjoyed the marrow inside. The meat is quite tender and is easily separated from the bone... Its not "rubbery" i.e. does not need to be chewed a lot to swallow. One can enjoy the Cansi (soup) on its own without any condiments, but for the fried Cansi, I squeezed 3 Calamansi, chopped some red chili and put a teaspoon of fish sauce on a small bowl (can ignore the fish sauce if its too salty for you) and put a very small drop of the concoction to the viand for spice.Note that this is a not a fine-dining resto, its just a busy eatery as one of the reviewer said. Its also does not have AC, but it was not that hot despite visiting mid-day at the peak of summer, and slurping down that hot Cansi soup.

dulce vasquez- 01:06 01/06/22
Great cansi soup no doubt about it. The beef is tender and it has small bone marrow. This is not a fine dining restaurant at all. Its just a busy local eatery so if you are picky dont eat here. Bad ventillation as there are just few fan so we were really sweating. The staff doesnt speak tagalog that much. They are also dismissive. When we get there we dont know how to order (if they will go to your table to ask, order in front with the display of dishes or at the back with the writing "pay here cansi 450 pesos" ) so we asked multiple times and we were dismissed. We sat down and wait. Then to our surprise, a server put down two cups of rice, one bowl of cansi and condiments. So my friend and i looked at each other and thought that OKAY THEY DECIDED FOR US. I ordered drinks and beef steak to add. There is no price list or menu at all. After eating we asked how much and someone just told us 750 pesos without telling us why or without receipt or list etc. We paid and get up as it is colder outside. My friend said he will come back since he really liked the taste. But i wont.

Real Customer Reviews at Palawud:

Alain Deriaz- 08:24 03/30/23
The restaurant is well situated at the sea shore. It's ideal to eat there for the dinner as the view on sunset is really nice and very romantic. The tables outside are a must if the weather is good. The upstairs terrace covered look really nice and adapted to groups. Distance between tables respects your privacy.Regarding the meals, the quality is just acceptable and would need to be improved. One example is the ceviche that has nothing to do with the original recipe from Peru: the fish is not sliced thin enough, ginger is not welcome, it doesn't have enough taste of lemon, minced ingredients have not their place in this dish. Service is sympathetic but slow, you might have to ask your order several times. Prices are reasonable.

RJ Conner- 21:15 03/21/23
Great food and ambience! Very entertaining fire dancers! Food is delicious at a reasonable price. Great service! Staff were very attentive to our needs. The fire dance was amazing! A very unique kind of seafood restaurant! A lot of food choices! We enjoyed the cucumber juice and buko juice. The scallops were amazing including the feast budol meal we ordered. The food presentation is excellent! The restaurant also has a small playground to keep the kids entertained. Definitely a great place to hang out, chill and eat! Perfect for family gatherings, reunions, and team meetings/dinner. We will surely come back!

Coolest place to witness the Sun sets, while the breeze touches your skin...... esp if you're along with your family, friend/s or loved one.It offers a wide selection of sea foods to choose from at a very reasonable prices.Plus , fire dancers awaits to surprise you with their stunning performance, just enough for you to say "wow" at the end of their show.

Authentic chinese food however, the chef needs more practise to refine the dishes; grade of horfun is too rough, hot&sour soup has lots room for improvement.General atmosphere can be improveIf you need help, please let me know. Happy to give a few tips. Thanks.

Staff very accomodating and courteous despite the place is jampacked with people. Food were excellent to the last bite and soup to die for. Hot and sour indeed.

Sweet & Sour pork, yang chow fried rice, beef & broccoli, steam chicken, polonchay, all so good!Minus 1 star because there was a christmas party going on and the servers were more attentive to that group.

This place for me is the best Chinese Restaurant in Bacolod. They have been inexistence for quite long time and they serve authentic Chinese food. Try their Prawn Salad, Oyster Cake, Roast Peking Duck. They offer private rooms with a minimum food purchase.
