Real Customer Reviews at Cadlao El Nido Resort:

Bryan Dillon- 14:25 05/02/23
Staff including manager are excellent. We had delays with flight and manager was very helpful and kind. Rooms and surroundings well maintained and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms are small and no fridge. No fridge! First time I have experienced that and very poor. Bar shuts at 10 and considerable distance from rooms. In one instance, water was empty and couldn't get a drink. Really poor. Also, try cycle communication is not always good. If they fix the fridge issue, would have given a 5.

Robyn Moran- 14:56 03/27/23
My husband and I stayed here in Feb’23 and we loved this resort! Views are absolutely stunning, and exceeded expectations. It is about 10-15 minute walk outside of the town centre. The walk is enjoyable and the resort also offers a tricycle service that brings you right to the edge of the main centre where all the bars/restaurants are. Even though the hotel is located a little bit out, it still has a lovely atmosphere. The food at the hotel restaurant is so good, we ended up going here most nights after day time activities for dinner and drinks. While the food and drinks prices are a little on the higher side, the food was of a high standard and really tasty so it was worth it. The non alcoholic drinks such as the mango shakes were necessarily overpriced though, on par with what you would pay in NYC.The layout of the resort is fabulous and there are 3 separate pool areas to relax at. Honestly cannot say enough about the setting and views - truly feels like a paradise. The cabin rooms were comfortable and very clean - some are adjoined with other guest cabins (separate entrance though) but it was peaceful and we barely heard other guests in the evening/morning.All of the staff were extremely professional and friendly. This resort offers a very high level of service and while the rates are more vs. other local accommodation, it is absolutely worth it! I got a massage at the on-site spa while I was here and it was truly enjoyable and reasonably priced considering the convenience of it being steps from your room.Flying into El Nido airport - there are tricycles that pick up from the airport - if you have a decent amount of luggage these can be a tight squeeze but convenient for a couple/2 people/solo travelers and are reasonably priced. (~350 pesos) they drop you right by the beach, and you can organize with the resort to have a resort tricycle bring you the rest of the way (about 3 minutes trike ride).10/10 recommend Cadlao resort and would love to stay there again.

I stayed here three nights and had a wonderful stay. The resort is beautiful and in a great location. There is a free tuktuk service that will take you to the edge of town, but it is also walkable. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, especially the manager Sid! The views were absolutely breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious as well. Highly recommend!

MNML journey- 15:43 01/19/23
Review is restaurant bar only. We went for the 5-6 pm , 1 hour happy hour 2 for 1 drinks (including red horse beer) overlooking sunset on Caalan beach. It was worth it. Good attentive service. Clean . Sadly not a Thai restaurant as it was 5 years ago when we visited in 2017. There is now a handful of gourmet Filipino dishes and western cuisine on the menu.

Giorgia Palma- 13:42 01/17/23
I was traveling on a solo trip and I decided to book 4 nights at Cadlao Resort.I wish I could have stay longer. This place is absolutely stunning, an Eden or better call it Gem close to El Nido town but still hiding from the crowd. The Rooms are just amazing and the 3 pools, the perfect gardens. Wow Wow Wow!I tried the best food of El Nido in this restaurant. The staff is really professional and had a great attention to the guests. The massages were the best I had in El Nido. The place was extremely clean and tidy.So far an Excellent experience. Will be back!! Definitely recommend and worth the money.

Real Customer Reviews at Happiness Beach Bar:

Tahlia McGregor- 05:41 05/24/23
Amazing cocktails! And great happy hour price. My partner and I had the hummus trio and it was phenomenal. The staff are very friendly and this place has the BEST music 🙏🙏

Fatima Sanchez- 11:57 04/22/23
We all enjoyed our several meals there. To be honest, there aren’t many vegan and gluten free places in El Nido but Happiness really stands out trying to offer some options to us.The staff were always super friendly, especially a Canadian waiter who went far and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

Iris Prins- 06:55 02/16/23
Good atmosphere and amazing food. Staff was really friendly, especially manager Quinn who gave us recommendations that we used during the rest of our trip. Would highly recommend stopping by for food or drinks! (also alot of veggie options available)

Lauren Welch- 13:05 12/30/22
We drank here several nights of our 1 week in El Nido and enjoyed their delicious pancakes for breakfast! The staff are super friendly and the drinks are delicious, they also do a great happy hour deal 3-8pm! A bonus is the lovely dog Pogi who is always hanging around and is always up for a tummy tickle❤️

Charlotte- 10:03 12/12/22
Cocktails are a decent enough deal on happy hour and we really enjoyed the peach daiquiris. Being able to sit at a swing at the bar was a nice touch too! We ate here one evening and thought the food was nice but quite expensive for what it was considering the portion sizes were rather small.

andrius bernotavicius- 01:38 11/25/22
The best place in El Nido for the cocktails and fun. Nice swings instead bar stools, super relaxed atmosphere, very professional bartenders and amazing food. These guys do things right that's why the place is always packed with people.Special thanks to gm Quin(forgive me if I misspelled your name). So professional but also down to earth. You guys made my stay special! Shame, I can't give 6 stars 😁

Real Customer Reviews at Big Bad Thai:

Isan Nuad Thai- 03:37 04/27/23
I had an incredible experience at Big Bad Thai. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The staff was attentive and friendly, always making sure that I was comfortable and enjoying my meal. The menu was full of authentic Thai dishes, all of which were expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The curry dishes were especially delicious, and the Pad Thai was some of the best I've ever had. Every dish was made with the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also fantastic. The decor was modern and chic, with comfortable seating and a relaxed ambiance. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a fun night out with friends, Big Bad Thai Restaurant is the perfect spot.Overall, I would highly recommend Big Bad Thai Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in El Nido. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch, and you won't be disappointed.

Vanessa Siemens- 13:50 01/22/23
Phenomenal Thai food, and a great atmosphere as well! This place has a great feel to it, lots of delicious menu options (the hardest part was choosing what to have). The service was great, they were very friendly and the food came quickly even though we were a larger group. The spring rolls were great- crispy and hot, and filled with flavour. The laab had the perfect amount of spice and the shallots and lime tied the flavours of the dish together. I also tried a friend's pad Thai which makes me want to return to get it. All in all a fantastic restaurant.

Vicenc Gasco- 00:18 01/02/23
Amazing Thai food!My husband and I ended up here just wandering around and without any recommendations, and what a surprise! The place is nicely decorated, and pleasant to be in. There’s no AC, but is cool enough as they have two open walls and are continuously running their fans.Food was excellent! We ordered Spring rolls, Satay Chicken, Satay Pork, Pad Thai, Fried Rice and Fried Banana with Ice cream. It was an indulgent dinner, and we could not finish it all, not because it wasn’t delicious, but because we were too full. The food came quickly and really well served (see the pictures), and we loved it so much that we repeated the next night too! It became our New Year’s Eve dinner.100% recommended!!On a side note, go early, or book, otherwise you might have to wait to be seated until a table is available. We had to wait 30 mins each night but it was well worth it.Ser

Yenyra Versace- 02:42 10/12/22
My boyfriend took me to this place and I like it! The food was great and owner is very friendly they are also very attentive to their costumers. They offer wide variety of choices in foods and all of which are Thai delicacies. The only problem is that it's a bit hot but if you stay outside in their balcony it's quiet romantic and nice.Highly recommend this place if you're visiting El Nido!

Arlene Leyco- 09:38 08/30/22
Of you are looking for very close to authentic Thai food in El Nido, this is the place to go. Reasonably priced too. We enjoyed everything that we ordered, including their iced milk tea.Make sure to call them first for reservations if you are a big group. Just a heads-up, you need to go up to 2nd floor and expect no air-conditioning. But they have big electric fans to counter the heat.

Real Customer Reviews at Maa's Grill:

Lara Röwer- 04:09 04/12/23
I’ve tried the veggie burger and it was soo good! Didn’t expect a local place to have an amazing burger, especially for that price! My friends had local food and liked it a lot as well! Highly recommend for good and cheap food!

Johanna S.- 11:18 02/24/23
I love that place. It’s a cute little family business, not westernised as many other restaurants around. You can get typical Philippine Food for a very fair price over here.

Hannah Lerch- 12:54 01/04/23
Maa’s grill was delicious! The Tapsilog we had for breakfast was so yummy that we wanted to come back for dinner! We had the spring rolls, chicken adobo with coconut milk, garlic butter shrimp, chopsuey, and vegetable curry - and everything was delicious. I wanted to ask if they would consider doing a cooking class. Thank you!

Mantas Mikulenas- 01:49 11/11/22
I tried all top recommended places here in town. But only after visited this place i realized that local food can be so delicious. Rice was freshly cooked, fish soft, veggies fine. Big portions, so try one thing at a time. If meal name includes “sweet”- be warry if you are not used to philipino food, because it will surely be sweet. Reasonably priced.

Mikael Jiang- 04:27 10/08/22
Amazing food and not too busy. Plenty of seats with a refreshing breeze.Would highly recommend!

Real Customer Reviews at Osaka Castle El Nido:

Joy Parpan- 08:28 02/01/23
Barely any tuna or salmon to be found in our sushi. Can get plain rice for much cheaper elsewhere. The pork wasn’t bad however and the eggs were well done. The fruit shake was probably the nicest thing we had.

Susan Caday- 09:43 12/11/22
We ate some authentic Japanese ramen and it was the best! Definitely coming back next time. The Japanese owner, who amazingly speaks English well is a great vibe! Very nice kirin beer as well!

Kitty Velour- 12:11 11/21/22
The food was deliciousss! The salmon was unreal. Best meal we’ve had in the Philippines so far! It’s also a nice spot to sit on the balcony and people watch in street below. Would highly recommend!

Translations Lola- 11:10 11/03/22
We had dinner here 2 nights in a row. My boyfriend is a japanese food lover and he enjoyed it a lot. Spicy salmon rice bowl is the bomb!

Moses Mari Lacierda- 07:16 10/26/22
The place is located on the second floor, going up there might be a challenge for people with disability walking, just to let you know. But the owner and staff were very attentive and efficient. The place is owned by a Japanese guy from Osaka, hence the restaurant's name. The food is great here. We had ramen, yakisoba, salmon sashimi and other stuff. I highly recommend this place for anyone in El Nido looking for very good Japanese food. Two thumbs up.

Real Customer Reviews at Angel Wish:

Jason Siu- 14:57 04/14/23
High price for seafood in tourist area was expected. The quality was our main concern. The quality was not bad. However, we didn’t have fresh oyster because it was not the season now. The staff are so friendly. We enjoy the meal very much.

Jenn- 07:09 12/13/22
The seafood pasta and mango shake were great. Good price to quality ratio. The crab is not worth it though. 650+ service charge. Barely tasted of crab as it probably wasn’t fresh. Still a good place to eat at. Just maybe avoid the crab.

Kooyah ParoDimpz- 08:33 10/08/22
So on our way back from our tours I asked our driver where to eat good locally and he recommended this place, I looked at their menu and it looks pretty good, we went and ordered Bistek Tagalog(9/10) , Baked Clams (9/10), Seafood Pasta (9/10), Carbonara (9/10), Chicken Nuggets (7/10), Fried Calamari (8/10), Garlic Butter Shrimp (10/10), Banana Shake and a Mango Shake both 10! It has a nice view of the beach, nice ambiance, fast service and great food! I would definitely come back and eat there again, we actually wanted to just keep eating there our whole stay but we had to try other places too. So far this was our favorite in our El Nido stay. Just 8minutes walk from our hotel, you can either walk through the beach or through the main road and do a little shopping. Overall a 5 Star gem of a restaurant amongst the many restaurants near the beach. We had a group of 4 and it's perfect for a bigger group they have another side that might fit 6 or larger but not sure how many max. Did I mention the seafood they use are fresh just outside the restaurant? Yes now you know, you can pick the ones you want to eat. Enjoy!

Juliet for OnlyOnwards- 04:59 05/14/22
They have oysters! 100 peso each. Ordered one and it was huge, like my entire hand! I've never seen such a thing. As of the restaurant it's a fish restaurant overlooking the sea. Prices are ok. I ordered garlic butter squid - it was super salty and kind of average taste. Unfortunately they wanted to charge me 380 peso instead of 250 as it stated on the menu. Once the incorrect amount was flagged up it was immediately rectified. I'd go back for more oyster (they need to put them in ice though, it would be nicer cold).

Kryss Hernandez- 11:30 04/16/22
I'm grateful that my boyfriend's brother recommended this place :)We went here last April 7, 2022, around 5:30pm to beat the dinner rush. Luckily, there was a spot available with a perfect beach view. The weather was gloomy, so no colorful sunset, but it was relaxing all the same. The serving sizes of the seafood we ordered were HUGE, and it didn't take long for them to be prepared. The Sweet Chili Crab was superb! They had a 5% service charge, which is better than most that have like a 12% service charge.Definitely go here before or after peak hours to avoid large crowds. I will be including a video of their menu soon in a YouTube video :)The only con I found was since it was basically located in front of the beach, there were a lot of vendors that would constantly approach us, offer us to buy their goods, and sometimes even stayed and stared while we politely told them to go away. Kind of made eating awkward. I'm still giving them 5 stars though because the food was amazing and the prices were reasonable for the sizes.

Andrea Blakemore- 22:23 05/15/23
We were walking by the beach and stumbled on this beauty. It opens at 11:00 for drinks and 11:30 onwards for food. Staff were very nice to accommodate us early. Restaurant was in front of the beach which has a good breeze and sunset views during the evening. The food was amazing. Mango shake would do with a little sweetness. Cocktails were good and presentable. Definitely one of the best Pizzas in town. I would come back to just taste the whole menu if I had enough time and tummy space!!

Blathain Callaghan- 14:42 04/18/23
This was an amazing place for dinner & views. The pizzas were very tasty & there was a lot of choice. They also give two options of sizes which is great incase you don’t want a big pizza. There is other choices on the menu such as small plates & pastas. The view onto the beach is stunning especially for sunset. The staff were very friendly & attentive.

Lars Bauer- 10:32 11/08/22
Located directly at the beach, you can enjoy an awesome sunset here. The pizzas were really good, we ordered one margarita and one vegetarian and both were delicious. Staff were really cool and matched the vibe of the restaurant. Food came in an appropriate time only thing which could have been better would be a bitter size of the pizza for that price but otherwise fine.

Victoria Vikrest- 12:40 10/21/22
The pizza and the pasta was perfect! The service wow! Kristal was so nice and kind!I am vegan so i took a pasta with mushroom instead of beef and no milk and cheese and the pasta was great! My husband took pizza Napolitano and he said its the best pizza he ever tried. We really enjoyed our dinner!

Ms. Cookie- 12:36 07/16/22
A solid spot to sit and have a cup of coffee. They have freshly brewed coffee, a variety of pizzas, pastas, fruit plates, desserts, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Its really nice to sit there and relax as the sound of the waves is amazing plus the view is majestic.Good and reasonable price. Nice and really polite staff. The only point off is that some of the items are not as what they should be.Oh, one more thing, their pizza dough is amazing!

Hiel Castro- 13:30 04/16/22
Our reservation for our anniversary turned out very well. They were so accommodating! They gave us everything we requested, including the seaside table with a sunset view. The pizza and the pasta were great. We got the vegetarian with cheese and the bolognese. We were satisfied and had a memorable evening. If you want to get ahead of the evening crowd, be there at around 5-6pm.Definitely going back.

Real Customer Reviews at Bulalo Plaza:

Leo Pangasian- 11:35 04/29/23
We had dinner here and we ordered "bulalo". Their bulalo is so delicious and the meat is so tender. We also ordered "kare kare" which tasted ok, but while we were eating many insects flew to the lights above us and other insects landed on our foods so we easily finished our meal.

Julián Rapetti- 18:23 04/07/23
The food was truly delicious! The place isn't really touristy, so we could find a lot of local dishes that weren't offered downtown.

Kurt- 23:33 03/25/23
Great selection of Filipino food. Probably the best restaurant in El Nido in terms of food value.

Mario Nikolov- 05:50 03/14/23
The staff is really nice and speaks good English. We came here several times and had a mixed experience with the food we ordered. The tortang talong was good one day and not the best the next. The vegetarian curry is quite tasty! It's small though, and you need to order rice separately (20 pesos for a cup).Their spicy sauce is quite nice but really hot so be careful. They give you free water at the start of the meal -- that's how you know it's an authentic Filipino restaurant.Overall, it's worth trying. The food is okay and reasonably priced (for El Nido). But, just like most places in Palawan, vegetarian dishes cost more than ones with meat. Always ask about the ingredients as some dishes may seem vegetarian but contain shrimp paste.

Imee Bree- 20:38 01/22/23
As a Filipino and local, I tell you — this is the most authentic Filipino food. They even use firewood for their cooking their soup, that’s the authentic way we do it in the Philippines. Food were all tasty and in generous portions. Nothing fancy but spot on! Come and try the most authentic Filipino dishes here if you are a tourist wanting more of the real and authentic Filipino food. And if you are Filipino, you will definitely find your comfort food here!

Loved this place for matcha latte and smoothie bowls! And happy they are open early for breakfast because our hotel breakfast is terrible. They have great vegan/vegetarian options. I added the updated menu and they have more lunch options now too so will try i the future. Cute atmosphere and awesome 90/2000s music playing

Cool Blue. Antioxidant Orange. Smooth Red. Hello Yellow. The best vegan smoothie bowls in El Nido!I tried all their smoothie bowls in the menu and I can say, they are soooooo delicious and money is well spent. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and it will be a pleasant experience all the time.More menu items will come back very soon. So keep yourselves while having smoothies and coffee for now.Thank you Nikol and to the entire team. I will be coming back for more.

This is one of the best healthy restaurants I had so far. They have freshly brewed coffee (that might je a hit or a miss to some)They have a well thought interior, small but cozy. Nice staff. It's also located in town, near the beach and all other necessary establishments such as bakery, laundry shop, restaurants, auto shops, trinket shops, etc.

roamaniacs- 12:59 06/13/22
The smoothie bowls are a bit too frozen for my taste. They taste good, but the consistency is not what I like. The coffee is tasty. The staff is very kind and friendly. The tables are uncomfortable, it would be great to upgrade them.Nice quiet atmosphere, although there is a difference in temperature between the ground floor (AC) and the top floor (fan only)

Thanks to the chef we actually had the original bruschetta for the first time. Good Italian food , good pricing and quantity too. We were late so they only had pasta and spaghetti available

Kim Chen- 09:12 04/04/23
Incredibly delicious pizza and octopus in fair price. Friendly service without service charge. In addition, there are not many places in El Nido that takes credit cards and provides AC, which makes this place very recommendable.

Valeria Rocca- 01:16 01/21/23
Excellent restaurant. Amazing pizza! Absolutely recommended. I am Italian and I never go to eat in Italian restaurants abroad, but I really loved this restaurant and went there twice.

Raitis Gorbacevičs- 06:58 01/07/23
We went here as our romantic dinner during Christmas. We ordered cheese/meat platter, wine, pasta and steak. The food was really good, except steak... It was supposed to be medium rare, but some parts were so chewy that we literally couldn't cut tendons in it (neither knife or teeth). I'm no expert in steaks, but I don't think that that part should be used as steak. I'm sure other people will find their experience better, but for us it tainted our Christmas dinner, unfortunately.

Tommy G- 15:23 12/18/22
**if you look at the negative reviews, you will see how the owner cannot take criticism and gets nasty in some of his remarks. With that said:Original review :A guy recommended this place, so I was SO excited to try it. My friend and I walked in and the place was empty. All the workers stared and didn’t say anything. We sat down eventually and we looked at the high prices and thought, “OK, no big deal; high prices probably mean amazing and quality ingredients.”The pizza was pretty mediocre. Crust fell apart, the tomato sauce was watery and there was barely any cheese. The picture proves my point. The egg yolk was kind just thrown about. Service and food poor. Ugh, I wanted to like it so badly. How hard is to mess up pizza? And an Italian restaurant?!? Very disappointedReplying to the owner about my review. You’re a sad man. Grow up

If anyone complains about the price or taste of this restaurant, it's clear that they either have no understanding of Italian food or have only eaten spaghetti at Jollibee. I ordered pasta, and this was the only place in the Philippines that asked about how cook the pasta were cooked. The al dente of the pasta was very good and it was a very satisfying meal. We are very grateful that this restaurant is in El Nido. i'm order one more plate now.

This family-run local restaurant is so rustic, charming and serves absolutely tasty food. Prices are very reasonable, portions are great and service is very prompt and friendly. Enjoyed all the dishes I ordered but the mackerel cerviche and flambé were standouts. Highly recommended if you’re in Corong Corong!

We love the food here. Its authentic, its tasty, its fresh, its alot and its cheap. What is there not to like?I also brought my mother here. She is always cleaning when we are at home. She said this restaurant is very clean, and she has eye for it.Basically, just go to this restaurant. Its worth it.

A very nice restaurant runned by a Filippino family with breakfast, lunch and dinner options both western and Filipino dishes can be found on the menu. The dishes are tasty, reasonable and the best thing is the satisfying size of the portions. Nothing is worse than being still hungry after the main course, as is often the case in many other places somewhere else. You will not find a better price-performance ratio in this area.
