22:26 05/02/23Excellent food and service at reasonable price. The place has a view of manila while enjoying the dining experience. There are lots of Filipino food to choose from. The restaurant also has a good ambiance, perfect for family gathering or meetings. Try their kare kare, sinigang and sisig. Christiana Mesina-

09:32 02/18/23Situated at one of the higher levels of the Bayleaf Hotel, this restaurant has a nice view towering over Manila. The restaurant itself seemed quite old looking and quite rundown and dirty. The food on the other hand, while quite pricey, was excellent in both its presentation and its taste. The portion sizing was also very big to the point where we couldn't finish half of what we ordered. I can definitely recommend this place if you want to try great food in Manila. D Choi-

Servers were very attentive which gives me a feel of a 5 star hotel.👌 Ambiance is also very good since you got a view of manila ❤️The bagnet is crunchy and very delicious! They have basement parking👍

14:44 09/12/22Entrance a bit bottled neck. Need to take stairs to first level. A bit dark. There are old pantings at the wall. The tables are nicely decorated. Buffet styles. Spanish theme dinner. The appetiser is a bit bitter. Spaghetti, seafood, chicken, curry lamb are nice. The fruits and dessert are also nice. Asked ice cubes twice before served. Charlotte Noquiao (wllkrstnchrltt)-
06:21 06/21/22A bit pricey but the food is still good. We were served with an undercooked paella the last time. I love the sampaguita ice cream 🍨Booking a table is recommended, and there is free parking inside their premises. JJae H.-

12:42 04/30/23This is by far one of the best restaurants in the Old Manila. It’s incredibly affordable considering how delicious the dishes are. Classic pinoy food that will fill your tummy and your heart with great joy! I cant possibly count the times I’ve eaten here but it always NEVER DISAPPOINTS. My favorites: Baked Mussels (this is always present in all my visits here) & Sinigang sa Miso! Mark Chester Goking-

I love their pastas, which was my order before. But this time we tried their Filipino food.We ordered Crispy Tawilis which was superb and now my favorite. I loved the properly seasoned taste of it, especially when dipped in their special vinegar. We also ordered Fried Tofu Kare Kare, which was nothing special for me, but it was still delicious. Good for vegetarians. However, the portion of the food is not worth the price. The staff were friendly and accommodating.I just wish that they will change their menu. It's quite overwhelming and confusing. It took me about 15 minutes to browse, read everything and order. Anna Krzak-
03:00 03/20/22Nice interior. Quite climatic place. We dropped by just for coffee (it was still morning). Double espresso was truly fantastic: strong and smooth. It tasted even better complimented with mango crepe with vanilla ice cream (158 Php). The menu is extended and looks good so we will definitely come back for lunch or dinner. Benedict Isles-
11:05 12/31/21Owned and operated by CBCP (Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines), this restaurant serves as one of their fund-raising activities with proceeds partly going to their programs for the poor and marginalized. The street can be pretty chaotic in the weekends, but it’s easily accessible and you can park by the streets. It has a nice Spanish facade. The interiors are like a normal canteen, but with relics and mementos of Catholic bishops so it looks like a mini museum cafe. I loved everything we ordered. And they pretty much have everything in their menu booklet (yes, pages and pages of food options).

06:54 02/13/23Sky deck in the heart of intramuros. the 360 degree view of the city from the top of the building were simply stunning. The deck is very spacious and well designed but better if they setup more tables in the edges. For their food, I had a high hopes especially in their buffet, maybe my expectation is too high for a class buffet like this. I would recommend to try here and experience the sky deck view in night. 06:55 01/11/23After I completed a tour of Intramuros yesterday, I was searching for a restaurant that served local cuisine that I could sit down at. I asked in another store I visited, and was recommended to visit Barbara’s.When I arrived, I ordered from the a la carte menu, although most patrons enjoyed the buffet, which looked nice. The prawn appetiser was particularly delicious, perhaps a bit peppery for some who don’t like heat, but I really enjoyed it.I got talking to my server, Capt George, who was such a lovely man. He was very welcoming and attentive and a great representation of the restaurant in my opinion. He told me that he has worked at Barbara’s for 28 years and it is his final year before he retires.I wanted to write a review to say thank you for making my trip to Barbara’s memorable and I hope you enjoy your retirement completely as you have certainly earned it! Lissa Salapantan-
00:44 10/13/22Amazing food! Everything was so flavorful. The arroz Cristina was very unique, the pumpkin soup had nice hints of ginger which set it apart from other pumpkin soups, and I loved how peppery the steak was. The banana sesame was perfect too- nice and crisp on the outside and perfectly sweet. Halo-halo was good as well but the shaved ice was hard to separate -- but you can just ask for the waiter's help if you get this problem too. Around 7pm, a trio was also playing crooner type music and that complemented the overall feel of the restaurant. Great place to visit in Intramuros. Danica Duray-Bermillo-

04:21 07/26/22Max’s Restaurant’s beginnings started in 1945, after World War II. Maximo Gimenez, a Stanford –educated teacher, befriended the American occupation troops stationed at Quezon City. Because of this friendship, the soldiers regularly visited Maximo’s nearby home for a drink or two. Later on, the troops insisted that they pay for their drinks. This prompted Maximo to open a café where the troops could enjoy food and drinks. The café initially served chicken, steak and drinks. Maximo’s niece – Ruby, who managed the kitchen, created a special recipe for chicken that became an instant favorite for the GIs. Soon, the Filipino public heard about the delicious chicken – tender, juicy and crispy – and they came too! Max’s Restaurant was born.Over the years, Max’s Restaurant’s popularity grew and became known as “the house that fried chicken built”. It has expanded in Metro Manila, Southern and Northern Luzon, Cebu and California, USA.Looking towards the next millennium, Max’s Restaurant has established itself as a household name, an institution, and a proud Filipino tradition. The second and third generations of the family continue to zealously uphold the standards and traditions set by Maximo and ruby for all Max’s Restaurants. JoFan Wang-

15:04 03/22/23We chose to dine here after the rooftop restaurant was booked full, and it was for the better! I'm visiting family in Intramuros and staying in the Bayleaf so Raffaele was the perfect option.
