Lovely experience with nice ambiance and views, good food served in generous portions, and topped off with a first class service experience by Ms Emma

Very nice restaurant with very nice ambiente. Very good view to the sea. The meals are very delicious. A combination of philippine seafood, with a touch of korean fusion. We had a perfect stay there.

Irekca de la Torre- 06:15 06/01/22
Cabana Restaurant is a great restaurant if you want to unwind on a stressful day. Their food and the portion is also really good. Take note that it's a bit pricey considering it's in a hotel and you're in a resort city. Would come back for their kimchi rice and yangnyeom chicken for sure!

Helen Jessop- 14:18 03/24/19
We happened upon this restaurant next door to the Movenpick (where we were staying) purely by chance when spotting it on instagram regarding their dancing waiters. Called in for lunch one day and enjoyed it so much we returned for dinner the next day in the evening. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, tasty food, and although it’s still priced for tourists it was good value and much cheaper than the Movenpick. Portions are large. The customers were all Korean it appeared, but we had no trouble navigating the menu or ordering in English. The free small dessert is a bonus.

Real Customer Reviews at Cowrie Cove at Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu:

Kim Demetreu- 04:53 02/26/23
My husband reserved the private cabana and the dinner was fantastic! Shaquille was our butler and took excellent care of us! We had the crab salad, crispy pork, and the grouper, plus the mango cheesecake…we’d get them all again!!

Jason Mann- 07:10 02/21/23
From the moment we were seated, we were handed 4 menus and didn't have time to view them because we were late due to issues with reservations at front desk. I chose a water and Just Mussels plate due to being rushed. We reserved the table for 2 by seaside months prior to our visit. We were seated inside next to another couple, while 4 other tables remained open. It was very awkward. All 4 of us sat in quiet for most of the meal. It would have been more romantic to sit in the room and eat crackers. The fries were a unique pairing with the seafood. The salmon was great. I wouldn't recommend Just Mussels, unless you are going to dip the Old World Style bread that is almost unchewable. The dessert was the best part. Overall, I give the meal a 3 out of 10. The Fresco in Megatown has better food for 1/3 the price.

Oliver Plank- 03:22 02/12/23
Lovely place to dine direct ocean front. A kind of reception would be nice, because you enter the restaurant and don't know what to do 😂 standing around and waiting..... But at least someone came, and after a few minutes waiting, we were guided to our table. Food was excellent!!! We loved the kinilaw, cured salmon and the mussels. Afterwards having a drink at the bar. Thanks for serving us, very friendly stuff!!!!

Suhith Illesinghe- 10:04 12/15/22
Our table had the crab meat salad, the Octopus and the Salmon. The crab meat salad was excellent. The Octopus was over done and a bit rubbery. It came with rice but there wasn't enough sauce for to soak up the rice. The same with Salmon, it was a bit over and it tasted good but it didn't have enough sauce.

iamOwnic- 09:56 10/21/22
Food was amazing and view was to die for! However, service needed much attention. Went there on a Sunday and apparently they were understaff. We barely had lunch and was expecting to eat a good meal but when we got there, after being seated to our table, it took almost 45 mins to an hour before we were served bread. This is serious for a brand like ShangriLa. We had a buddy that was allergic to soya and it’s unfortunate menu was limited to cater her dietary restriction. This took another 30 mins to find her a menu modification fitting to her need. This was an al fresco dining on the beach and it was so humid yet nothing was done to take care of this. Factoring all, I’m torn between treating it a good experience (good and ambience) and downright disappointing (service and temperature). To add salt to the wound, we highly recommended this place to our Norwegian pal but with what went down, I reckon this would ever be considered again for a good place to eat. I mean more than a hour waiting time before you can finally eat is just to much.

Real Customer Reviews at Tides at Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu:

Ma.Rinna Lorion- 02:04 05/21/23
This is one of the most dinner buffet that i love ...great foods..so delicous..there saturday is the best buffet there buffet them international foods..they have lechon parade and after it they do dancing...the server are great..there smiley faces..

Kristine Mae B- 15:53 01/30/23
I’m not a fan of buffets because I only have a small appetite. However, upon seeing their buffet that day, it’s appetizing that it made me want to try almost all of it. But of course, I didn’t.I can say that I’m satisfied with the food and the service is superb. Though we didn’t get a chance to dine at the restaurant because there are a lot of guests that time so we were accompanied to the ballroom hall which served as an extension to cater the other guests for the breakfast buffet.

Bent Gonza- 09:14 04/09/22
Our first buffet after two years. We stayed in Shangri-la before and had buffet here numerous time already. Everyone needs to be served at the counter. It's okay as this make it safe for every one.I just find that the food selection is not the same as before. But it's still okay.

Maxwell Jimenez- 01:42 10/23/21
Best Breakfast Experience (New Normal review May 2021)Buffet breakfast at Shangri La Mactan is usually offered at Tides on weekends with plated meals on varying restaurants on weekeds (we had ours at the Lobby Lounge)Despite the limited offerings availabe. The breakfast buffet at Tides make other breakfast options around Mactan pale in comparison. You get the staple meat and vegetable favorites for breakfast, an assortment of breads and pastries and assorted fruits with yoghurt for light desserts. Something that stands out are the noodle station and grazing table which you wont find in other properties (at least in the current setting).Do come early if you wish to get the best tables as the property gets really busy on weekends (They open as early as 6 AM). I prefer to dine at the al fresco area since it's well shaded and has sweeping views of their gorgeous lawn. With a light breeze on a cloudless morning it becomes the perfect setting for the perfect Sunday breakfast.

Andrew Evans- 04:21 01/04/21
Buffet restaurant that usually is the breakfast venue for guests in the Main Wing of the Shangri-La Mactan hotel. However during the Covid-19 pandemic, those in the Ocean Wing have to use this venue also, as Acqua & the Ocean Club Lounge are closed. This was not communicated to us ahead of our stay in Ocean Wing, so we were unhappy, as we had eaten once at Tides on a previous visit, and were very disappointed with our food. That being said the safety measures they have put in place (assisted buffet / cleanliness / distancing etc.) are good and the staff were excellent. The assisted buffet is particularly good, as it not only follows Covid-19 protocols, it also dissuades guests from over filling their plates. This being said the venue is not as good as Acqua, so having to use this restaurant was an unwelcome downgrade. The venue did get busy at peak hours... and we would have preferred to have our breakfast in Acqua, as was advertised at the time of booking our suite room.

I would say best food I got since my arrival in Philippines. Loved the welcome into the establishment by the patrons, the complimentary drink and veggies. I chose what I could eat as I have food allergies. Spicy chicken with rice was good loved loved it.

What a fantastic dinner! I tried the Bulgogi pork with the Chive pancakes, the Miyeok guk soup and kimchi, everything absolutely tasty and yummi. Thanks to Niño for his kindness, all the staff is polite, friendly and professional. Also: the restrooms are so clean and smell so fresh.I wish I could come back soon and enjoy another meal!

Khanna Blithe Cortes- 14:03 07/17/22
The customer service is excellent. You can see the staff's faces on the wall and some motivational quotes. I love the lemonade! The beef bulgogi is too oily. The place needs some cleaning.Overall, it was a good restaurant but very expensive: 400 per person.

Real Customer Reviews at Rico's Lechon:

Simon Wood- 05:03 05/09/23
Bit of a disappointment here. The letchon was a little dry and without any crispy skin. My garlic rice was over cooked and a bit watery. The star of the show was chop suey. The chicharon bulaklak was very greasy and the chicken skin flavourless. For 1000 pesos per person I expected a lot better. On arrival, the place was fairly empty except for a very loud group of about 8. Nothing wrong with having a good time, but when we tried to select a table away from the group, we were ushered to a table for two as close to the noisy group as you could get. They were so noisy I couldn't even hear the waiter standing next to me.Overall a disappointing, expensive experience

anJILa haha- 05:39 04/14/23
Food is superb. Staffs are accommodating. Place is convenient for those who are going to the airport.

Xavier Arasain- 23:09 02/12/23
We chose to visit this place as we wanted to try “Authentic Cebu Lechon” and this brand came out the most reviewed and hyped online.Upon entering the premises, you’ll be welcomed by a photo wall of personalities who visited the “famous” lechon restaurant chain-which again raised the expectations.Okay so upon ordering, the cashier told me that the lechon skin will have a mix of crispy and not-so-crispy skin. When the food arrived, our high expectation turned into disappointed as the lechon meat was cold and nowhere we could find a single crispy skin, we had chewy and soggy ones. Meat tasted OKAY but nothing special. One star for the lechon baka.Honestly I had way better lechon from small time lechon shops outside Cebu.I suggest you try other lechon houses instead. If you want to pay 60 pesos for a small bottled water, pay extravagant bill, then this is the place to be.

Sibyl Tate- 14:34 01/13/23
We are foreigners and told we must visit this place for their pork.We didn’t order anything else but just the pork. The price tag is steep for 0.5kg of meat. It’s a bit too salty for our taste, nonetheless we finished everything! The service is good. They serviced our pork in timely order. The kitchen staff are also very friendly allowing us to film while they were working.

Adrian Garcia- 19:53 01/07/23
Disappointed, visited cebu just for lechon. The skin is not crispy at all. The only tasty part of it is the skin. The food seem old or just reheated from yesterday. Poor service here compared to their BGC branch. Not worth the price either. Staff here seem rude or not that hospitable. Second visit this time and it’s still the same as my first visit five years ago. Perhaps the lechon supplier here has different recipe compared to their BGC branch.

I am Michelle- 08:50 07/31/22
We came here around 8PM, the only lechon left was the spicy one. I highly recommend to visit earlier👍Nevertheless, delicious lechon still❣️

Real Customer Reviews at Nonki Japanese Restaurant (Mactan):

Tu Nga Nguyên- 11:57 04/05/23
Cocktails were amazing. Food was delicious except the seafood ramen. The staff is friendly but wish they served our food all together instead of one main dish at a time. We were almost finished by the time the last person had her meal.

Shahid Budoo- 11:50 03/07/23
It used to be really good place, sadly like many restaurants in cebu they have gone down the drain as well, my tempura can't believe it how bad it is. All breading with average low quality of shrimp, same with the chicken very small size with low quality. I feel sad is to why and their service 😞 😕 😢 for a 800 pesos bento its worth 300 at best . Such a shame this is on march 7 tue 2023.

Beverly Tan- 10:45 12/11/22
I was not a fan of Nonki because of a bad service experience in one of thier branch and didnt go to for any of thier stores for many many years. On the way to airport today, I got hungry and had no choice, was also craving japanese food. It was a pleasant experience, good customer service, attentive staff and good food. My food was served almost immediately maybe because there was very few customers.

Khanna Blithe Cortes- 15:02 03/19/22
Update: March 19, 2022Really loved the ambiance of the place! But it is pretty expensive! Most of the dishes were 300 pesos plus. Not to mention the drinks, they were a hundred plus. The Gyudon in Barikita Ramen Bar is more delicious and substantial for your tummy than the Gyudon here.

Angeli Ruth Espinosa- 11:18 12/11/20
Food is great!I personally love their mango shake. It is a must a try! The ambience is also good. Their staffs are very attentive. The only downside is that they have a poor connection of wifi.

Real Customer Reviews at Enye by Chele Gonzalez:

Nicole Sarmiento- 17:47 04/20/23
Food - Love it! I appreciate that it's both experimental and classic. (Not very good with culinary terminologies 😅) It's Anzani and Pig & Palm combined but different. I love the texture of the pork, it's tender but the skin is crunchy. The mashed potato was one of the best I tasted. I love the presentation too.Ambiance - It feels fancy, relaxing, and romantic. The music, accent lights and furniture colors match well. We’re very satisfied. I also like that it's complementing the aesthetic of the general resort.Space - Most restaurants are cramped and we are always worried we are being too loud and disrupting other diners. I just love the distance of the tables from each other. And even the booth tables are comfortable.Service - the service was top-notch! The waiters were attentive yet not distracting. Also! I requested a cake for my best friend. They not only prepared the cake but also sang with guitar accompaniment. Thanks for that! Will surely return here 💕

John Gomez- 01:32 03/14/23
The price perfectly match the quality of the food, the staff, the place. I have nothing negative to say. Totally enjoyed dining here. High price point but super worth it!

Love this place. Super friendly attentive staff I actually think they all have telepathy. I can honestly say I have never in my 57 years experienced such genuinely warm attentive customer service and it is not because I look like brad Pitt or something lol, they treat everyone with the same warmth. The bands are great the food good the drinks reasonable. A really nice cosy atmosphere. You will regret not giving the place a try.

Grilled fish and squid were flavorful and prepared well. Fried calamari’s are pretty good too. As an American I love fresh shrimp, these were over cooked and I prefer the heads and feet removed prior to cooking, overall the dinner was better than most in the area.

Cristalle Dia McManus- 01:22 07/12/22
Overpriced! There were bugs that my legs that are still inflamed days later, very itchy possibly bed bugs!

Jose Nelson Bedrijo- 07:21 06/20/21
Nice ambiance and overlooking restaurant. Fresh catch sea foods and cooked according to your preference (SUgba,TUwa, KILaw) Their mango shake is refreshing but it would be better if they also offer other options like buko shake. Foods were delicious.Good for couple, families or group of friends. Safety health protocols were being observed and implemented.

Chad Chad- 01:03 11/04/20
We had 3 different dishes out of 1 molmol fish that we ordered and 250grams of chilly shrimps and two canned sodas. All for 950. That's just fair. Typical taste but the service is great.

Desiree Caincol- 02:40 11/06/19
Food was great and the place looks really nice. They offer a selection of fresh seafoods you can choose and from and ask to get cooked for you for a price. I could estimate a price range of P1500 and up for a decent meal for a group of 4. We enjoyed having dinner here and I'd be happy to come back.

Ordered a snack and drinks from this. Ask to deliver to the beach chair. I waited for 1hour to get my snack with say, several follow-ups. Food and drinks are so so and tons of people to serve . Then it’s me who is pretty much low priority. Poor service

Artorias Abysswalker- 01:32 07/17/22
Food is delicious! Friendly staff.

Maxwell Jimenez- 01:56 11/04/21
Fries overload!Shangri La Mactan's beachfront bar offering hearty meals and refreshing drinks. Their current menu ranges from finger foods, burgers, paninis and salads. We had the Fried Calamari rings with aioli & lemon, Fried fish nuggets and Chicken wings. All were crisp to perfection, tasty and came with a lot of fries on the side we eventually didnt finish it and still had a lot to take home. Each order would easily fill up two or three as the portions were big. The fried food were remarkably not greasy so youd feel less guilty munching on these.Service was quick and always has that Shangri La warmth.

Marlon Quimno- 10:20 06/20/21
Breeze bar is a beach side restaurant in Shangrila Mactan, Cebu. Very nice location. The beach itself is best for swimming with sand at the bottom.

Matt C- 07:02 07/22/18
Unfortunately couldn’t try the food and drinks - after a trip to the Shangra La to check it out we were told that we could only order food and drinks if we were hotel guests. Would have been nice if they advertise that. But a nice spot on a protected beach

Real Customer Reviews at Tea of Spring at Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu:

Sandy T- 03:46 12/22/22
Not a pleasant experience for us to dine here - we had high expectations given the review and location in 5 star hotel. The noodle soup was not freshly made especially the noodles itself being limp and dry- serving is very small with only 2 pieces wonton, and 2 bunches of Bokchoy. Fried rice is supposed to have Scallops and dried fish - both we couldn’t taste nor find in the serving. The tea I ordered for 300 bucks was in a tea bag. They served it without steeping enough time.Service was a not at par for the price we paid. Not worth much it especially for dinner - one of the worst Chinese dining I’ve experienced.

It's been two long years since we ate at a Chinese restaurant. After checking in we went directly to the Chinese restaurant and ordered dimsum. We all loved the look and will definetly be back.

Had lunch while here waiting waiting for our room to be readyTea of Spring is an excellent Chinese restaurant in line with a guest’s expectations of a Shangri-La hotel restaurant.Sadly, dim sum options are only available during lunch. However, all our pics were great, especially like the imperial hot and sour soup.

Very good Christmas Day lunch & (because it was so good) we returned for New Years Eve dinner. The food and service were great on both occasions. The venue is reasonably small and is located just by the Tides buffet restaurant within Shangri-La Mactan. It is a good idea to book at popular times, to be sure you get a table. We shall definitely return.

I wasn't expecting the food to be amazing, but to my astonishment, I was introduced a whole new world of flavors. I was just just divine. I hope I can cone back next time.
