Honest review. We only ate our choice of order which are the white pizza and lasagna and it tastes delicious! My family ordered others and said that they also liked it. Overall their food are recommended

Zofia- 13:01 12/12/22
The pizza was delicious, as always. Everything we ordered was priced affordably and came with big servings. Their gelato is a must-try! It’s not too sweet and is perfect for the hot weather. The staffs were all approachable, and the ambiance was nice.

Duane Dumot- 18:20 04/26/22
One of the best experience i had so far... From the food to the place to their staff who are very attentive... The only problem is they have a very small parking space... But not totally an issue...They serve pizza fast! Because it is fresh... Very uneven... And they taste great...Thei choices of beer are also unique... Craft beer with ipa of 7.5.. yes.. it will kick you and your heart...Prices are very reasonable...😁😁

Daniel Carlo Bueno- 09:03 04/13/22
dined here around lunch parking was a little bit tricky but found a spot with pay parking. we were seated right away and the server was very accommodating and lively. we also had to experience to make our own pizza it was fun with the brick oven and everything. food was on point and authentic the place was amazing they also have a view deck on the beach front where you can enjoy the picturesque view. price were cheaper than expected. would recommend this place to friends and family and we would definitely come back.

Michelle Ann Cabiladas- 10:25 04/10/22
They offer various kinds of pasta , pizza and other delicacies. I love their Alvin's Pizza... It has the right mix of cheese and sauce. A must-try. The supreme meatballs pasta is also great. Their mint tea is also a must-try. So refreshing. You'll love the minty after-taste :)Their food service is quite fast. The place is also beautiful. It has a nice view of the sea 🙂

Real Customer Reviews at Patio del Sol Seafood Restaurant:

J A Z C- 09:46 02/28/23
I love the garlic squids. The mixed seafoods serving is big enough for 3-4 persons. Sea view dining. Limited parking space.

Pascual Jerome Pattaui- 13:15 11/19/22
Don't let the drab facade fool you, this is one of San Fernando's hidden gems. This restaurant by the beach has some of the freshest and unique seafood offerings in the city. The pampano and seafood mix dishes are a must try. The menu options also change every once in a while so you're in for a surprise with each visit. Group set meals are also available at reasonable prices. 5 stars.

BARBARA BANSALE- 07:04 11/01/22
The place is nice and clean. Great view since the window is directly above the beach. It has simple rows of tables and chairs and wall fans.Service is fast and staff are friendly.Food that we bought were delicious but not so special; not something you’d want to keep going back for.Price is reasonable. We just walked in so I don’t think making reservations are necessary.

Jollin Lyka Shane Dalanao- 15:32 09/18/22
Food is good. I love the ginataang shrimp. Great place for sea view since it’s adjacent to the sea. Maganda lahat except lang sa small flying insects which I think is normal since we went there 5pm na. But I na lang may standby stand fans. 9/10

charlene- 13:09 07/21/22
We loved our dinner here. It's an al fresco seafood restaurant above/by the beach. The July breeze was coming through with the peaceful waves. Very satisfying to the senses. We got here at around 6:30pm on a thursday evening to celebrate a birthday. We ordered:Bagnet kare-kare - first time we've had this and it's umami heaven. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Sinigang salmon & shrimp - big serving! ⭐⭐⭐⭐Sisig w/ egg - definitely in the top 5 sisig in LU. ⭐⭐⭐⭐Value for money. Serving time was 10-15mins. The staff (and the cat) was kind and accomodating. Rooms for improvement: chairs and tables cleanliness, interior design.

The food is worth it's value, love the unlimited iced tea drink, service is attentive, atmosphere is casual and chill, food is serve with little to no time at all, place has ample seating, but parking is very lacking.( It is not wheel chair accessible)

Folding Tales- 05:59 08/27/22
Ordered pancit guisado and sizzling pulpog. It did not disappoint. Big servings at reasonable price. Service was great; the staff we're courteous. Place is quiet enough you can make conversation and relax.

Dexter- 02:00 08/11/22
Our first time here, we ordered quiet a lot a 3-4 persons meal. But we finished it all and we are only couple. The foods are so good with a reasonable price. It's definitely a must visit.

Rafael Ricalde- 07:43 02/15/22
Been eating at this place since 2009! Always a must stop whenever I am in San Fernando City going to San Juan or Ilocos. Their baby back ribs is super delicious and priced very nicely. Five stara for this place!

Sterne- 08:07 11/08/17
tried the baby back ribs. sauce was too sweet smothered all over the bland pork. had to scrape the pork to put the sauce away (too much) but the pork was tender, falls off the bone. veggies? not too much only 2 spoonfuls of serving. pork chop was great, first slice's thickness was normal, second slice was too thin. vinegar sauce complimented the meat. this place is okay but will still go to try other food

Real Customer Reviews at Dencio’s Bar & Grill Restaurant La Union Branch:

Dino Latoga- 02:10 05/03/23
Although the ambiance of the place was undeniably nice and cozy, the food unfortunately didn't quite hit the mark for me. But hey, don't let that discourage you from checking out this spot! Who knows, you might find something on the menu that will blow your mind and make your taste buds dance with joy. So, why not give it a shot and see for yourself what this spot has to offer?

Rene So- 05:09 04/10/23
Dencio's serve Filipino food and if you want Filipino grilled food this restaurant is an option.Food is just average, service is good. However, he guy guarding the entrance is giving confusing instructions on where the restaurant is. He need additional training.By the way, there is spacious parking space at the back of the restaurant.

Jexter Barrion- 09:58 12/31/22
Food and dine experience is great

charlene- 13:45 10/28/22
Dencio's is a place for families and groups of friends. We love the cozy wood cabin interior and the variety of food selection. You can have meals with your kids or have drinks with your friends. They also have free wifi. However, the waiting time for our order took at least 40minutes and it was unforgivable considering most of the seats were empty. Maybe they lacked kitchen crew that day but it's no excuse to have horrible customer service also. The plates we were given were not the cleanest. The food was delicious, maybe they believe in delayed gratification but sadly we don't. We felt like we didn't get what we paid for. I have to give 3 stars to give room for improvement in their service, meal preparation time, and cleanliness.

Nathan Mercado- 12:17 07/16/22
Menu from diff restaurants in 1 place. We really liked the philly cheese steak, teriyaki and tempura from Teriyaki boy

Food: 5/5Place: 5/5Affordability: 5/5Staff: 5/5Accessibility: 5/5Overall: 5/5Whenever I go to La Union, I always go to Natalna. The owner, whom also one of the servers, always gives the utmost care to his customers and that is why his place is always visited by local tourists. The food? Don't get me started. Everything is fresh and delicious. Whenever I crave for seafoods, this is the best place to go to.As always, I will keep going back to Natalna every time I visit La Union.

John Blennerhassett- 05:19 04/05/23
Wonderful patio tables right on the water, OK cooking and grilled food is what you should order. The orders are small which is why prices look cheap. BBQ ribs tasted good but I only got 2 ribs. An order of broccoli was only slightly larger than what some restaurants would scoop as a vegetable on a plate of meat and rice. Clean washroom. I recommend it for adequate food with a great cool seaside breeze right on the beach. March 2023

Vee- 10:27 02/22/23
The food is so good🤗🤗🤗 Happy tummy indeed🤗❤️ and also the view, it is so relaxing having the calm waves while eating🤗

The staff are very accomodating. I love the place. A must visit for everybody.

Leny Grace Garcia- 10:23 05/08/22
If you’re looking for a restaurant that serves delicious and affordable foods, I recommend Natalna Grille. This is one of our go-to places because it is a perfect place for dates and family gathering. They offer a wide range of menu. Their grilled tuna belly is a must-try, as well as the buttered mushroom with garlic. The view is nice here since it is beside the seashore and as what its name implies, the place is quiet and serene. The staff here are friendly and accommodating.

wrai ther (wraither)- 09:40 05/04/22
A Filipino-style restaurant with a hint of Japanese with seats overlooking the La Union shore. Not including the preorder (you can reserve seats and order beforehand), we waited 40 minutes for the food to arrive, which is quite long in my opinion. But the food was delicious, especially the beef salpicao (which tastes like salisbury steak) and the salmon sinigang. I’m not a fan of coating the tuna sashimi with sesame seeds as it overpowered the taste of the fish. Still, the service including the cashier needs work.

CarolAnne Doromal- 04:56 01/20/22
Fresh sea foods are served here and they follow covid 19 protocols. feel safe and nice view of sea shore. very accommodating personnel.

Real Customer Reviews at Grumpy Joe La Union:

Duane Dumot- 14:13 04/29/23
Food experience here is quite shocking, packed night with waiting area.. must be awesome right? Nah... well aleast for me...Seafood pasta i think is the best we ordered here...Pizza and chicken fingers need some room for improvement atleast for my experience...Pizza dough is too soft, its brown but not crispy.. even though it has a lot of toppings, the bread is the saddest part...For the service.. i think we dine in a little bit late... so the staff is like exhausted or something for the night... so they answer whenever you call but they lack initiative... maybe im just nitpicking but i understand how busy they were...Overall.. maybe ill try again next time but not dinner time..

Dexter Tualla- 05:08 02/08/23
Food is nothing spectacular. They have generous servings and prices are reasonable. They can improve more.

Miss D- 08:52 10/25/22
Food's great! love their 5 cheese pizza and jalapeño pepperoni pizza. parking is very limited so you have to find an available parking spot somewhere else/nearby and just walk to get to the restaurant. Waiters are accommodating until orders arw taken. May need to be more attentive next time.

Raul Benjamin- 10:46 08/28/22
I have been occasionally dining at this place for 4 years, and my all-time favorite is the Peanut Butter Fried Chicken. The plate is just beautiful, the two pieces of chicken covered tastelfully with delectable peanut butter sauce. You are also served a potato salad (same as most of their rice meals). They have a variety of beverages to choose from. I personally like the Grumpy Refresher - a combination of mint, blue curacao and soda.Wait time for your order is just right for most rice meals, and you may have to wait longer for huge orders. They also accept dine-in reservation via call. I did, and they ask a 500 PHP reservation fee, which is consumable.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Real Customer Reviews at Max's Restaurant:

Joseph Carlo Dizon (Saab)- 13:17 04/23/23
The food is still great. Part are a bit smaller due to inflation, but that an issue for most restaurants anyway. Not enough parking during peak hours. Also some dishes get mixed-up on which table they belong, like what happened to us. Not a big issue; and the courteous staff made the entire experience better.

John Matthew Agustin- 02:19 04/16/23
We went here about noon.Resto is found on the side of the highway so you have easy access. Parking is for about 20 to cars.Resto is air conditioned. Menu has a variety of choices. From desserts to main, from meat dishes to seafood. They also have this option to have one order first to taste before deciding how much will you order.I think the prices of the food are reasonable. Attendants are also friendly.

Engelbert Tabones- 11:47 01/17/23
Max's food will always be great. The service here is good; it has good drop-off with many parking spaces and attendant.

Pascual Jerome Pattaui- 11:26 12/16/22
Delicious food especially for group dining. The Kamanggaan Rice is to die for. Go get their combo meals to have a taste of their specialties. Calamari is tender and crispy, the ensalada is fresh and crispy hito is so good. Easy to locate as it's just beside the highway. Place is usually jam-packed with diners. 5 star food, 4 stars overall.

Irish Christine Bargas- 17:25 07/26/22
2nd time to eat here. Food is really good. Their staffs are polite. Nice location and ambiance. Servings are for 2-4 pax. We will definitly comeback.

Precious Gay Zam-Fro- 02:02 04/19/22
Nice atmosphere beside the highway, open air. My husband complains with the foods I cook butI can cook better than what we ordered, sorry for that.I tried to make an advance order (so that we may start eating soon because its already late) while waiting for others who went to the restroom but I was told that they do not allow it, orders should be made at one time only, 1st time to hear. Had dinner on the holy week.

charlene- 14:31 04/10/22
It's 3.5 stars for me. This al fresco resto is in a good location along the national highway and their warm exterior lights invite the customers in. So we went to have dinner here. It's 8pm after the sunday mass and this place was packed. They have plenty of space for car parking but we still barely made it inside. We thankfully got a table after just minutes of waiting. The servers were quick and attentive which I think is an improvement from the low reviews I've seen of the place before. We ordered pork sisig, tinolang manok, chopseuy, lechon kawali, fries, lots of rice, and a lemon pitcher. All of the viands are for 2-3pax. Unless you're super hungry, most of their dishes are for sharing. From what we ordered, their food was delicious. It's just right for the pinoy taste. Their meat was a bit more fatty than expected. I wish there were spicy dishes on the menu. Their serving time took 10-15mins which is good for a busy place. We saw what must have been 10-20 employees at that time.Rooms for improvement: 1. bathroom cleanliness and water supply, 2. plates and utensils cleanliness, 3. the vibes could be leveled up if they played ambient or live instrumentals, 4. some dishes we would've ordered were not available. Overall, this is a family restaurant specializing in local dishes. It's a good place to dine in. I just wish the buko halo-halo was available at that time because it looked amazing in the huge menu picture.

Ariel Aquinde- 06:12 04/02/22
The Pork rice was great... Even the ihaw platter... The squid was on point 👍🏽. I liked it when they fillet the grilled paltat (catfish) . The sinigang was not too sour and was great together with the grilled platter. The buko Halo Halo was what I'm craving for. And they allowed us to bring our own drinks 🤩

John Stephen Gois- 03:05 01/10/22
I must say that the food is straight out good and delicious! I like how they put the Filipino-ilokano authenticity in their food. The condiments are top tier, which brings the best out of the quality food they serve. We had to wait for quite a while. It was a long wait but i must say the food is really great. If they would have something to improve on that will be on the waiting time. Altho good food takes time, yes I believe so. But everyone can be better diba? How would the people know that the food they serve is that great if the customers run out of patience to wait for the food they ordered? What if they decide to pull out insted? Of course this could be on the extreme side, but thats the reality of life. The world is cruel. Most especially if the customers are hungry, they could turn from hungry to hangry = hungry + angry. You know what i mean? Nevertheless, I really compliment them for serving really great food! Other than the time, the food is great. Happy new year to you all! 💕🔥💪

This is our go-to restaurant whenever we're in La Union. Taipan Seafood Rice and Taipan Special Rice are the best!

Josefa Leung- 03:29 01/25/23
Everything ok ,only not to hot the food some ,Halo halo also good

Raul Benjamin- 00:22 12/08/22
Taipan's assortment of Chinese dishes never disappoint, and this is, I dare say, the best Chinese restaurant in all of La Union.Atmosphere inside is quiet and there are a lot of seating options available (including their 2nd floor). Their restroom is clean and tidy.Serving portion is plenty, especially their fried rice. You may also call in advance to reserve a table and orders.

charlene- 13:16 06/22/22
Big servings! We haven't eaten here in a while since the pandemic started. The interior was new to me. Cozy lighting. Good ventilation. Reasonable prices. Late closing. The food is East Asian inspired. We had dinner here at 8pm and was surprised at how busy the place was.We ordered fish fillet w tausi rice, chicken curry rice, taipan special rice, porkchop rice, and chopseuy rice. Umami realness. Serving time took 5-10mins. It's perfect for families and big groups looking for a good restaurant in the middle of the city.No PWD entrance or parking though. Car parking may be tough during busy hours in the morning since it's beside the market. But during dinner, we had no problem in the parking space. Taipan also have a separate room with a door for special meetings/conferences. The servers were friendly and accomodating.

Doris Lunzaga- 10:50 06/02/19
Food is good, place looks clean (though me and my co-diners saw not just one but two unwanted "friendlies"). Some service crew were attentive but most are less than accommodating. Rest rooms are clean but needs more ventilation.

Food was not good as before. Not a single container of sanitiser in store.Place was very untidy. Toilet was rudimentary.Need to scoop water from drum to flush toilet.Appalling customer service.

Still serving good, clean, delicious, and filling food all these decades. Fast food chains will rise around this classic restaurant, but people looking for good old "home cooked" meals will always come back to Midtown Food Palace.
