Real Customer Reviews at BeachBum Food Park:

Andrew- 05:25 04/09/23
Beer per bottle cost 70-75. Per bucket cost 380. Wide variety of food. Tried their mixed seafood in gata but it's mostly squid. Good music. Street parking only.

Einz- 04:04 03/26/23
We highly recommend Big Servings! Literal big servings! We had big bowls of dinakdakan and pork tofu which were all a delight. You can buy drinks (both alc/non-alc) in the center stall. Best thing in this place is that all the electric fans are working!

charlene- 19:35 02/26/22
Tourists and friend groups would love it here. The food stalls have good variety from seafood to grilled meat to all day breakfast. We ordered from 4 different kiosks and their serving time took 10 minutes maximum. It's acceptable considering it was a busy saturday night. It's not the best food in town but I don't think you go here for the taste/dining experience. You go here to chill and chat and get buzzed. Prices are affordable if you're a tourist and you're used to urbiztondo prices. But locally it's about 30% more expensive than usual. What I loved here was their live music and friendly staff. However, there's a lot of room for improvement.Cons: 1- Not much choices for dessert/meryenda. 2- I understand it's an outdoor drinking place but there's so many cigarette smokers on different tables and it ruined the chill atmosphere for me. 3- Smoking is NOT prohibited in this place and I take that personally because I'm asthmatic. 4- There should be a warning to bring your inhaler before you enter and order. 5- After eating here, I pray I don't get covid from all the packed tables and people not wearing masks. 6- Their bathroom cubicles are "amoy chismis" and have low water pressure. 7- No parking lot.

Different foods and drinks available 🥳Super ganda ng sunset 🌇Picture perfect 😍⏰ Thursday-Monday 4PM-11PM; 12PM-11PM on weekends.

Leah Camacho- 04:05 07/18/19
A little warm during hot days but very good variation of food, friendly staff and very friendly atmosphere. I really love how the place was designed. We tried the little bbq stall near the stage, the main bar which served lovely frozen margaritas and the steak house right beside it!!!

Jacq Peralta- 12:53 12/08/18
The place was so cool. The choices of food was so vague that you will undoubtedly found anything that your tastebuds feel like eating at the moment. The beach bum barbeque was a huge hit, we have to wait for few minutes for our orders to be served, but it is definitely worth it. The people are nice and the music will make you groove your body without even noticing it. Amazing indeed!

Real Customer Reviews at Gefseis Greek Grill & Restaurant:

Raul Benjamin Libunao- 08:56 04/15/23
We went out to there for lunch and the place was not crowded. We were a group of 5 and the bench seats easily accomodated us.What I really like are the Gefesis Roast Lamb and Seafood Chowder Soup. I like their Moussaka the least.I really wouldn't call their price range worth it, but it really has to do with their prime location in San Juan, La Union. The meals are delicious, but I wouldn't recommend eating here often if you're on a tight budget.

AJ Manalili- 14:29 02/20/23
Place and food is okay. Just expected too much because of the price range since we really can't say that food here is affordable. Just a bit disappointed with the steak, it's hard to chew. But I really liked their Souvlaki. Place is too quiet, maybe add some music just to lighten up the mood. Love the staff.

Kathrina Canosa- 00:07 11/13/22
Did not meet my expectation.First, the staff are not so accommodating. We need to ask for extra tissues/table napkins, they only provide 1 sheet each customer initially.Second, food service was slow. 1 order was served late. We already finished our meals and 1 of us did not eat yet because its not yet ready. The ambiance was just ok.

Myles Chuahiock- 05:29 07/26/22
Gefseis is one of those restaurants that seem pretty ordinary but in actuality, serve good food that fit in so nicely with La Union's casual vibe. Special mention to the juicy lambchops!

Edmundo Antonio Ramos- 05:44 06/10/22
One of my top go-to places in Surftown. Everything is good! Place is nice! Service is excellent! Parking space is also a plus.. highly recommended!

Real Customer Reviews at Coast Call Kitchen and Bar:

Hannah- 06:50 12/11/22
5 star experience for us - came back twice in two days! Food is delicious and service is quick and friendly. Serving sizes are pretty generous too - we definitely over ordered each time. Would 100% recommend the dinendeng and pancit here, super mouth watering. Quite enjoyed the buko shake too, it’s refreshing after a hot day at the beach. It’s a comfortable and quiet dining area at with good views of the beach so would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good meal.

Nathan Mawhinney- 01:46 11/19/22
Really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great. We ended up ordering chicken adobo and pork sinigang along with an iced caramel coffee. The staff were very friendly and positive here. They also had AC and the beach was easily accessible, so definitely recommend.

Trish- 12:27 07/03/22
This is located at San Juan Surf Resort. Perfect location since beachfront and they have ample parking space.Family friendly and kid friendly place, good for big groups! The dishes we enjoyed the most are the pancit and crispy pata. Their tuna sisig is delicious also.4 stars only cos there was a cockroach that appeared from one corner/joint of the table while we were eating. Sad flying ipis pa hahaha 🥲

Rian Gonzales- 10:55 05/30/22
Great interiors and there's tons of things to choose from the menu. Everything tasted heavenly although i was not a big fan of the Special Liempo. Prices are a bit on the higher side although the suggested serving of one person can easily feed 2. Would definitely be back! 💖

Erwin Ric- 06:45 03/29/22
5 stars because it's the "most decent" along this beach strip, even if it's pricier than you would expect in the province. (Almost 3k for the 6 dishes below, but totally OK with me bec the food is generally good.) The crispy pata is execellent for me. The pinakbet is not the native type but a fancy resto type, but still good. Forget the spicy wings - inferior to the usual wings in the city. 3rd time dining here, incl a previous stay with breakfast.

Real Customer Reviews at Tagpuan sa San Juan:

Kates Ante- 07:28 05/14/23
One of the known food stops in the area, if you can't find this just ask any local. It does have a small menu (mostly Filipino cuisine) with affordable rates --just perfect for your budget. It's dining place isn't that spacious though, just a quaint small space in the side walk. Tourists still come not only to eat but for the vibe as the place is instagram worthy.Ps. I love their donation project. Please support it!

Kristine Joy Victor- 14:26 01/05/23
One of the few places that was open during our stay in Elyu (I think most are closed after new year). Perfect place to get your quick breakfast/brunch fix! Dishes were simple and straightforward. We had bagnet and pares and they weren’t bad for the price! Place is a bit small so tables get full during peak hours.

Krista- 14:18 10/10/22
📌 @tagpuansj San Juan, La Union⭐️ 3.5 / 5🚨 Tagpuan has been a staple in Elyu for so many years but a few things I wish has changed over the years: 1. SEATING - @tagpuansj pls fix your seating so that many people could dine comfortably 2. MENU - as you could see on the pics, @tagpuansj has changed its prices many times over, covering the prices over and over with pieces of paper makes the menu and the facade feels tacky / tasteless … little things like this (maintenance of the place) should have been on tip top shape ~ food is okay and very affordable ~ still worth visiting if you’re here & if comfortability is not an issue for you 😉💰Check pics for menu prices🐶 Elyu is overall a pet friendly beach place ✅

ruruchi- 08:45 06/11/22
The Bagnet and Pares were okay. It was good but there's nothing really special in regards to taste. It's also affordable so it can be a good meal for those who are on a budget if you are in Elyu.Only common problem I have in La Union are the flies. They are literally everywhere so you have to make sure they don't land on your food when eating out.

Danielle Veluz- 01:23 05/15/22
Cheap quick eats appropriate to fill the stomach for a night out at La Union. Generous servings of rice but the meat portions were a little small. Crispy bagnet and rice was Php140, not bad for a cheaper alternative to the higher end restos around the area.

Mitchell Bates- 08:11 03/31/22
A great place for local (traditional) Filipino food. Plus if you give them an extra 50php they will feed someone in need. I thought this was very nice of them. The service is fast and the people are friendly. Smaller portions, but very reasonable priced. Think small meal or snack if you are a foreigner. If you’re a foreigner with a Filipina GF… take her here… she will love it!!

Real Customer Reviews at Clean Beach Coffee:

Addi Dela Cruz- 01:18 03/06/23
Love the cool, easygoing vibe here because of the hip, retro interiors. They have a self-service policy, and a lot of patrons stay to work. Their coffee was perfect, and food was good and reasonably priced. The seating area is right across a nice spot by the beach, which easily makes it one of the best hangout spots in Surf Town. I'm happy to come back!

Ai G- 12:49 11/04/22
Interior & exterior: 5/5 - the view itself is relaxingFood: 3/5 - small serving for the price. Taste is not exceptional but normal. Coffee, tea & hot chocolate served were not hot.Price: 3/5 - expensive but the view compensatesCustomer service: 2/5 - it’s self service so we didn’t receive any customer service aside from parking. Clean as yo go is practiced.Location: 5/5 - near almost everything. Just by the beach which really is stunning!

Alexis- 03:31 07/05/22
(visited March 2022)Our first restaurant when we arrived in La Union and it did not disappoint. It was packed with the weekend crowd but they have a well coordinated, friendly staff to assist people and get seats. The food was really good, I especially loved the kaya toast and even ordered a jar to bring home. Definitely get the big serving if you're a group of people because it's so good. The food is Manila prices, but the servings are huge. The coffee is also really good, and they have fun non-coffee options to try too.The vibe is chill, with an open-air concept by the beach, and the place is pet-friendly. We went there again in the afternoon and it was nice to sit by the bean bags in the sand.Parking is difficult though, you'll probably have to park somewhere else because it gets full easily.

Renz Erika- 08:29 06/01/22
Vibe, check. Coffee, check. Food, check. This establishment is located beach-front, equipped with fast wifi connection so it’s also perfect for work.Pet-friendly. Earth conscious. They’re sustainable too! The business is powered by solar energy which is awesoooomeDuring a friend’s event, I had the chance to order the menu and tasted a bit of everything 🫶🏾 here’s a peek to what the dishes look like!

Leny Grace Garcia- 05:05 04/05/22
The place is nice and cozy. I was not able to tour the whole place because there were a lot of people. 😅 The staff are nice and accommodating. However, I was not pleased with the drink that I have ordered which is the Vanilla Shake. It was too sweet for my liking. 😅 Also, the Caesar salad, too ordinary for its price of P200. I am still looking forward to revisit this place soon and try their other dishes and drinks. 🍃

Real Customer Reviews at Kabsat La Union:

Jeido Morada- 06:06 05/14/23
If you were looking for the best sunset view with a vibe of local bar and tasty foods, this is the best place in La Union (in my opinion).Their outside dining and benches is on of the best views of sunset. Chilling with a zip of cocktail looking at the beach, the best feeling. The sounds also matches the place vibe.Foods were delicious and in big servings. Lots of cocktails and drinks to choose from. Food and location is worth the price.Usually crowder during afternoons esp sunsets. Their outside dining costs 3k but consumable. Will definitely go back to this place if given the chance.

Vern- 15:25 12/11/22
Food is a hit or miss but the coffee is divine! Will most likely return for their beans.Service is generally decent even though servers forgot my order a few times, but the gorgeous view made up for it

Joy P.A.- 05:34 11/30/22
very relaxing place. Onshore sea breeze supplemented the flavorful breakfast that we had. Breakfast menu are served before 11. No other choices can be ordered during this morning. My mother enjoyed her danggit. Service wise, there were limited staff to take care of the customers. They will just approach you 3x: take the orders, served it, and for payment purposes. The look of elegance doesn’t match the service. No blame from the crew but management should hire more staff to serve the needs of the customers. We asked for the menu book to order some more, but waited for 10 minutes and nobody cares to remember to give us one. Ended up to pay the bill instead.

Evita Daan- 14:11 09/23/22
The ambiance is nice. It is on the beach front. The food is great. It is not air-conditioned and alfresco dining is available.Price of the food is reasonable. They also serve liquors and coffee products.Due to the number of customers, parking cloud be a problem sometimes. The staff are very attentive to the needs of customers.

Mark Joseph Sesaldo- 07:42 09/16/22
Great place to chill from lunch to happy hour. If you’re lucky, the place has a great view of the sunset. Food is a bit expensive but the tastes good. Kabsat coffee is good too.My fave new chill place complemented by 80s disco music.

Mark Joseph Euste- 10:58 07/18/22
Food is okay. A bit pricey though. Best to go there during the day. They offer buy 1 take 1 cocktails in the late afternoon perfect for sunset. At night, there are lots of customers and your order would take around 40 mins before it is served. The place is also a bit dim lit and mosquitoes are everywhere.

Erwin Ric- 01:24 12/19/22
Ordered a couple of the Amboys. Presentation is OK, condiments are good, BUT ... the patty lacks taste, NOT seasoned at all. Both burgers eaten with patties that have no taste - in comparison with simular.burger joints in MM.

Maysheen Tiu- 07:52 07/27/22
Really good juicy and flavor-filled burgers made right in front of your eyes. The fries are also good, but they sog fast. Food is recommended to be eaten fresh out of the grill. One of my top meals in La Union!

Ian V- 11:04 05/19/22
Burger was good. I was expecting the bread and patty to be bigger though. Also, the wait time takes too long. Be ready to wait when they say 20-25 minutes wait. It takes a long time even if it's not too crowded. I wanted to try their fries but there were no sides available. If you're really craving for a burger, it's an ok place to go.

Mark Adrian Ramos- 13:46 12/05/21
Pros:Juicy tender burger.price is reasonable.Friendly staff.Fuji Juice beside is also good.Sauce.Burger.Cons:lucky if you can find a parking spot.Trash dumping area is near the spot where customer eat/order food.Unfortunately, garbage truck collects trash during lunchtime.Overall:yes. recommended.Improvements:Fries.

Check Yourself- 23:09 04/02/23
Very ideal resturant right by the waters. In absolute favorite especially since they were able to accommodate all of us. The food was delicious and the timing of the other food was perfect as they kept pouring as we just finished. Lots of great dishes like sisig, fish n chips, and lechon. The only knock back I had was that the portions were smaller than I expected for the price but the flavor was very good which made up for it. It was perfect weather so sitting right by the beach was amazing. The place is very cute with the way they put decorations around and the bar feels tropical which adds to the feeling! Would definitely recommend trying this place, you will not be disappointed!

Erwin Ric- 08:41 01/03/23
My choice of drinks place at this beach area (if not other places like Flotsam and Kabsat). Great beach view. Cozy bean bags sitting area. Some issues with service - both times we went, some ordered items were not put in their system - had to reorder!

Darnell Tadifa- 18:56 10/23/22
Pastries and cookies were good, a bit pricey though. Service was reasonably fast. Crowded during weekends... They got a beach view while having your breakfast, lunch or dinner... They have night time party as well.

Myles Chuahiock- 05:37 07/26/22
Came here for the pastry and dessert and was pleased with the variety and taste. The ambiance and view during the afternoon is serene. Definitely a great place to chill and lounge around while eating dessert!

Michelle Ann Cabiladas- 10:04 06/28/22
Tried Lagula desserts.. I actually wanted to order the chocolate croissant but they ran out of it. So I tried the chocolate almond croissant and it was good 😊👍 I like the texture of the bread and the moistness of the chocolate inside. Paired it with Iced Spanish Latte which was also good. The atmosphere is nice.. it looks chic and has a bit of boho style. Plus it's overlooking the seaside so the view is nice.

Really good Thai food. Close to authentic. When they say it's hot... Believe them. There is a shower outside to wash off if you have just come from the beach. Thai inspired look and feel. Clean and airy. Ample parking.

Khea Gonzales- 03:21 08/31/22
The best Thai food in LU! It’s authentic, picturesque and comes in big portions that will surely compensate your money. The restaurant itself is cozy, and will perfectly match your aesthetic instagram feed. The staff is friendly and the owner is hands on and accommodating. Service is superb it’s quicker than expected!! This resto will surely keep you coming back for more!

Stephen Eisley Vazquez- 06:12 07/02/22
Enjoyed the interiors and presented vibe of the place, but the food wasn’t worth it for us.For the cost, it really surprised us that the food didn’t have much taste, and some didn’t even taste how they were supposed to (i.e Seafood Laksa).Urbiztondo has a lot to offer, so you wouldn’t miss out if you decide to pick a different restaurant.

Michelle Ann Cabiladas- 18:20 04/14/22
They serve Asian delicacies which are true to their taste. I appreciate the Chicken sambal, laksa and spring rolls. The sauce for the spring rolls is sooo good. Their coffee is also a must-try. It's a good combination with the spicy chicken sambal. I also love how the place seems secluded and has that minimalist vibe. It's like a serene getaway from the busy surftown. It also has a balcony at the side and front where one can dine.

Kert Tria- 08:39 04/07/22
I love the overall interior of the place as it is very cozy. The resto is also very quiet since it is a stand-alone establishment. I ordered their Thai Iced Tea. By preference I like it sweeter and milkier - theirs has a more prominent tea flavor. P160 per glass is a bit expensive, IMHO. I also ordered their Shrimp Pad Thai and I was a bit disappointed. The serving portion is small and I only saw 2 tidbits of overcooked shrimp. Taste- wise, the hibi (dried shrimp) is overpowering the dish, it felt like I was eating binagoongan. It has a right balance of sweetness, nutiness and spiciness, but I was grasping for a more tamarind flavor. I also wish that the nuts and chilis were served on the side so guests can control the heat and nutiness as per liking.Service can also be improved. Staff were not that welcoming and were only doing the bare minimum. It also took a while for them to bus the tables.

The smoothies/smoothie bowls are good but the reason why I keep coming back is because the staff are so chill! No fuss and I just feel welcome all day! Ambience is amazing too and I love that there are places on the sand where I can sit and look at the view while enjoying my smoothie bowl ❤️

Aniana Fonacier- 06:53 02/18/23
I thought it was pricey but one bowl is enough for 2 persons. Tastewise, it was so good, loved the homemade peanut butter and cacao nibs on the funky monkey. The owner was accommodating; she rearranged the chairs and tables herself to make room for us when she saw that there were no seats available. Enjoyed watching people surf from this place, munching on good smoothie bowls.

Michelle Ann Cabiladas- 10:30 04/10/22
Dropping a lot of photos because all of their products I've tried so far are soooo good 🙂 The fruit bowls and banana bread are great. What I also love about Seabuds is its cool and relaxed vibe. It has a perfect view of the sea. I keep on coming back whenever I want to unwind while satisfying my fruit cravings. It's definitely a must visit place in San Juan,Elyu.

Gabriela Paz- 07:59 02/07/23
Big servings very good place for sharing. The pasta we got was the shrimp scampi which was a 10/10 and the truffle pasta which was nothing spectacular 7/10, the 4 cheese pizza was crispy and delicious. We went here for dinner and they played really nice throwback hiphop and r&b music (depends on the dj), they also serve cocktails at 250 which are okay standards for beachfront places. Atmosphere was nice and cool at night and it was easy to get a table when we arrived and food was serve pretty quickly too.

The food and ambiance was great. You'll have a great view of the sea. Service was fast as well and price is acceptable. They only accept reservations until 6 pm. I recommend ordering their Pizza Burratta, Truffle Pasta, and Kermit Salad.

An exciting place to dine, everyone is friendly and accommodating even the owners who waited for us to finish our late dinner.Highly recommend place to dine with family, friends and love once, or even just for self reflection. The variety of food is above and beyond our expectations. Flavorful!Make sure to be early as this place gets crowded. But the staff makes sure that you are taken care of.The alcoholic drinks are well mixed, you may request to how you like yours as well.Last call is around 9:00pm, they politely inform their customers of such. This is also self-service, as this is a homey place.Don't take my word for it just go and experience it for yourself.

Writing a review after a long break due to COVID. We were on a weekend getaway in Aureo La Union and decided to have lunch at Kermit. I called ahead to make reservations. Although Google Maps takes you to the right place, finding parking was a challenge. Best to take a trike from where you stay. After struggling a bit, I found a place to park and walked to the complex where Kermit is located on the first floor. After QR scanning and registering, we went up to Kermit and were seated quickly. Ambiance is an open concept setting and is cozy. It's a self-service place, so once you decide , you place the order and counter and pay cash. Yes, they don't accept card payment, but they do accept gcash. Once paid, you get a buzzer which, when activated, you can go pick up food. We ordered the shrimp gambas for starters, Herb crusted mahi mahi with cous cous, Linguine alla Antonio, and a pizza Margherita. I liked the mahi so much that I literally scraped the plate to the last bits. Pizza was rustic and simple, so 5 stars for that. The portion size was good, and the price was lower than we expected. We could not finish the pasta and gambas, so I packed it. Place also has great cocktail selection; sadly, I was driving, so I did not get one. Must remember to take a trike the next time I go there! Overall, great experience.
